defiler, warlord is hard. not sure what cleffy talking about. defiler has heal, aoe stun for long duration, 2 ground aoes. warlord has a bind and without heavy investment cant do anything

Speaking from experience, the Warlord expends HP/MP slower than the Defiler. Warlord has a higher single target DPM. Warlord can also take hits allowing them not to run around in circles. For solo play, you will have an easier time completing quests with Warlord. You have about the same chance at joining a party, and a better chance with Warlord for participating in raids. Warlord will also have an easier time in PVP once you reach level 80.

Hmmm if u want to become a warlord choose mystic first or shaman as first job...you can level up faster and good for farming. Get average gear to farm for you to afford end game gears for warlord. Once you hit 90 buy job change to become warlord. Defiler is good to in farming but i think requires heavy investment to become effective in pvp.

Right because dashing into 2.5k aoes is easier than standing in back and using aoes. Also no, defiler with 2 ground tick aoes does more dmg per second than a warlord. Yes and an evasion stacked defiler doesn't have to run in circles either. Also should I mention 72 set is actually useful for defiler. Earlier start on actually doing damage. And a heal. I will give you easier time finding raids because of debuff and buff, but thats until you actually work on the gear and the defiler becomes valuable dps

Warlord can survive 2.5k AoEs since they can take a hit. In Raid settings, if you are near the tank when a raid boss lets off an AOE, you can typically be healed by the party heal cast on the tank. Warlords with AOE builds do quite a bit more damage than Defiler does with its AOE attacks, but these Warlord builds typically drain MP faster. With the current MP regen, it should not be much of a factor anymore. Warlords deal the 2nd highest damage to a single target and Warlord's attacks are AOEs, so if we are talking about a group it multiplies to be a lot. Warlords can also cast all 4 of their AOE in a 4 second time frame dealing a massive amount of damage before the Defiler gets off its 2nd ground tick AOE.

Having recently levelled a mystic from 0 to 80 I would recommend going this route then job changing to a Warlord. There are plenty of free opportunities to job change with all the skill revamps happening for you to change to a Warlord from this.

As sleepytown mentioned its far quicker to level up with shamen > mystic
