I was bringing my GX to do hazy instance yesterday to kill the dragon. I was on poisonous weapon (leech end) and EDP at that time. Just before the I could kill the dragon however, she used quagmire, and I decided to move out and reenter the island. To my surprise, I got MVP when I was still on another island.

So the only thing that could have killed her was the continuous damage from leech end or from poison status. But I thought status effects and poisonous weapons don't work on boss monsters?

Because Lost Dragon ISN'T boss-flagged. I've burned it to death. And lost my MVP ._.

spike is right. Lost Dragon is MVP but not boss, so status works on her. i dunno why u get the MVP, monster killed by status effect suppose not to be counted as your kill (if you have hunting quest, the number wont go up). when i first solo-ing this instance using my trapper, i missed the MVP since she was killed by burning status from my fire trap, that's why now i come with another strategy using spell breaker then manual warg strike.

Oh okay. That's weird, lol. Hm, maybe death due to damage from poisonous weapons is still counted as a kill?

That means, I can venom pressure her and move to another empty island and wait for her to die  :p_omg:

Update: tried it out for the 2nd time. Leech End does work on dragon, but it is counted like status effect, as Fuyukikun said. So I didn't get the MVP loot T_T

Lol. Worth trying I guess.

But nowadays I'd rather go the safe side and do it the usual way: EDP + RC.

Oh and Fuyuki: I got the MVP back then because I happened to have inflicted a majority of the damage to her before I moved out. So MVP calculation wise, I guess it's still the same, i.e. person/entity who inflicts highest damage gets it.
