There is nothing "lockhappy" about closing a thread from two years ago that you felt the need to bump.

 

There are a multitude of reasons why we don't allow thread necroing. Information changes and people's opinions change. I've certainly made my share of embarrassing threads in my RO career... I don't want those being dredged back up.

Apparently that doesn't always work. I died several times tonight in PVP while sitting directly in pneuma.

GoH is either ranged or melee depending on the level used... how do i even know this?

lower lvls of GoH are melee , 1-4 I think, I could be wrong. but the dmg is not so insane like higher levels. Dont even know why im posting here tho, havent woe'd/pvp in years so somebody else might give you better solutions

Aren't you the sura that i pick on on my gene all the time? How's seeing you in pvp 1-2 weeks ago "not pvp'd in years"

 

As to your question, high flee, gr, pneuma, DA, Kyrie and other special ranged reductions works against GOH, just not ranged reductions via gear itself.

lmao? my sura havent been in pvp in years, I dont even have woe/pvp gears so nop thats not me. The only reason I go to pvp sometimes is to copy skills with my SC. tho I did saw you once dying hard to  fluffs goh

Best way to fight a sura in PvP is you yourself play a sura or a RK, or maybe Gen.

If this is in a PVP environment then I would suggest the follow.

I don't think there are any gear that can protect a warlock from a Sura with a high KVM weapon, possibly megs and Tao. Your goal is to not get hit by by GOH. Set a hotkey for your hide skill so that you can dodge GOH when needed. If you're slow at hiding a close-to-instant cast Sura then your next strategy is to try to kill it first before giving it a chance to hit you with that nasty GOH. If the Sura managed to dodge your TV or Chain Lighting attack then speed pot far far away and wait for another chance to attack. Remember you goal is to not get hit by GOH. Try to put it in WI if you're not ready to pull off another offense. Repeat. Profit.

actually a Salvage Cape allows warlocks to cast level 1 cicada skin shed... the only skill a sura gets that can hit through CSS is holy light...

that would only block the GoH since the backslide effect doesnt work in woe as far as I remember.. so the sura can just goh right after it to kill it. It could work yeah, but the warlock has to be very fast to kill the sura before the 2nd GoH

Plus CSS as given by Salvage Cape has an insanely long cooldown, and unequpping takes off way too much SP for switching to be viable. Kinda pointless against a spammable skill like GoH. Better to burst them down asap (GoH Suras are usually redlined and over 50% weight) or just not fight them.
