Depends. The % ASPD gears will get you to cap attack speed once you reach 100%, therefore making it possible to reach maximum ASPD with very low agi. Even a 1 agi build is possible.

When comparing both cards in elven bows only. What gives you more?

Depends on your agi, my ranger used a 30 agi build with high % aspd to get to 193, but 1 aspd is possible. My build left the headgear slot free so I could use +12 White Drooping Eddga. If you have a good amount of zeny, % gear is much better since you end up saving a large amount of stat points which you can use on other stats like str for weight (god knows warg rangers need it) or more vit/dex/luk. Warg builds also do not rely on damage cards much since they do not have an effect on the warg at all, so most of the gear slots which other classes would need for damage you can use for aspd without trouble and now, with the addition of temp boots, you can use lucky day to get 100% warg rate easily.

%attack delay gives at most 0.38 aspd per 1%. You get this at agi = 1. Higher agility will reduce the amount of aspd per % attack delay.

So if your overall agi is only 1, then 10% aspd will give you 3.8 aspd.

If your overall agi = approximately 70, then both BM and 10% attack delay will give you 2 aspd.

Beyond 70 agi, BM is better.

Then again, when you get high %, you normally reset to lower your agi to the right amount. % is pretty easy to stack nowadays compared to how it used to be.

Awakening potion +

+12 Temp Agi boots AD4 = 22%

FAW with AD9 = 24% (25% with 20 agi, 26% with 40 agi,  etc.)

Celermine = 10%

2 Bakonawa Tattoos = 20%

Pegasus Wing Ear = 4%

Shadow Physical Earring = 3%

Doppelganger Card = 10%

+12 Small Poring Band = 1 aspd and 8%

Hermode Cap = 10% (not optimal because of the -20 atk)

Mercury Riser = 7%

etc.

BxB is bad for warg build.

Big Crossbow isn't bad for warg being a level 4 weapon, having two card slots, and an aspd bonus with 120 agi. It's just really expensive on its own and even more expensive trying to overupgrade (+12 and more). So often people just opt for elven and sometimes creeper bow. You still AS sometimes even with a warg build too.

You can even have an aspd+1 enchant on the bxb too! But yes, its really expensive.

120 agi is a waste of points on a ranger if you have money, making that effect pointless. Also, realistically you won't get a +14 BxB either, making BM card only +1 aspd. Though I have to concede one point, a +14 BxB with 2 agi and 2 doppelganger cards would be a thing of wonder.

Your warg won't be doing all of your damage. With mild wind headgear and crit, your normal arrows deal quite a bit of damage.

Aspd is easy to get from other gear with an elven and elven deals a good amount of damage more, making it the better option. Hell, the damage elven deals over a BxB on ONE normal attack is higher than the damage you gain on warg by going for a +12 BxB over an elven.

Not to mention it's also cheaper.

I have money and 120 Agi and I don't find it pointless. And yea I guess the damage on normal atk when you use Elven bow is more but if you add arrow storm on the equation + the normal atk then I don't think that Elven would beat it at all. The only reason why I rarely use my bxb is because it burns my sp a lot. But if you ask me in terms of damage then I would definitely pick big xbow on most scenarios but only when I feel like burning a lot of sp items. In terms of convenience then id pick Elven anytime. In terms of aspd then that pretty much depends on your build or gear combination.

120 AGI isn't always a bad idea, especially with a lot of gear that gives bonuses to it, especially the newer Temporal AGI boots. Anyway it's mainly the cost that makes it not worth it / not good but I can see certain situations that will benefit from it. Not to mention you can bring both bows (or even more bows) with you and switch between them depending on what you want to do or how much ASPD you want at the given time for hitlocking.

The part about having 1 Agi is that you are stuck with aspd% gears if that is your goal. Like mentioned, investing in Agi gives you more gear options than being stuck with just 1 set of gear. You don't need to have 120 Agi but I would still recommend to invest in it for aspd and flee rather than not at all. The only time I would recommend 1 Agi build on ranger is if you either have unlimited supplies of anodyne or Eddga boots. That being said, I think gears that give +1 Aspd would have more benefits than gears that give certain % aspd.
