SP growth of Eira is great - will easily end with enough SP.
The homun should perform decently, though it will be a slow leveler - Eira gets it's AoE later than Sera or Dieter, and Ami doesn't have any offensive skills to offer.
Note that, in terms of supportive power, Sera is much more helpful than Eira - Painkiller gives a massive damage reduction that works on physical and magical attacks and is not reduced by mobs. Even if you get overboost from your eira, your flee can be reduced by mobs (of course, the eira's flee won't be, since homun flee isn't reduced by mobs). Overboost does give you excellent attack speed, but this is not that useful for the genetic class in most situations (exceptions include breaking emps in WoE, for example)
Ami is absolutely the right choice for a supportive homun though.
