I have a level 65 Wiz that I've been messing with. Not long ago, I thought I saw something (don't remember if it was a weapon, gear or card) that increased Attack based on how much Int I had. But now I can't find it. Does anyone know what that item is?

Only thing I can think of is Mighty Staff and that doesn't really increase atk by int, it just has a description that alludes to something like that XD

You're talking abut atk and not matk right?

Jaye, nah, it's an item, not a skill. Thank you though. :)

Yes, talking about Atk, not magic atk. And yes, that actually is the weapon I was looking for! ...well, the Renewal version of it, at least (which has +85 more matk.) Thank you!

The reason why I was looking for it was because I wanted to venture into a melee/casting type build, and THOUGHT I saw an item which increased attack based on Int. But your post is spot on. I guess I was kind of misled by the title. Either way, it has plenty of attack and Mattack to be useful for now until I figure out what to do next.

I have the plan for it too. I had looked for Wizardy Staff rathan Mighty Staff but Wizarry Staff require lv90, Mighty Staff may be used in early level. I think Bazeral should be one more option for the build.

Faceworm Queen Legs........ too expensive............. I need one to start the build, can someone give me for free? /gg

Mage has more aspd if using Dagger than the Staff, but Wizard is vice versa. I have tried Mage holding +7Grimtooth and do for physic damage for leveling. It looks good.

Maybe "Egnigem Cenia Card"? Increases STR based on your INT.

+12 Mighty Staff = 190 atk, 160 matk

+12 Bazerald =  154 atk, 189 matk, +5 INT

+12 Queen Leg [2] = 264 atk, 204 matk, +3 int

+12 RWC Knife [1] (with ring+pendant) = 310 atk, 260 matk, +10% phys/magic damage

Notes

1. Mighty staff is kind of bad. Low aspd, not that impressive of matk.

2. Bazerald isn't a great melee wep due to low atk and perma fire element.

3. The faceworm queen leg is really good. Its probably the best on my list. its a level 4 weapon with high variance, and 180 of the atk is the base weapon's attack, so it benefits a lot from STR.

4. The RWC knife can be equipped at level 1 nontrans while the faceworm leg requires you be lvl 100 as 3rd job. Huge difference. However, it locks your accessory slots, and its only a level 3 weapon with the vast majority of its ATK coming from the equipment effect rather than the base weapon attack value (which is only 50). This means it gets little benefit from the high STR score. Though, this is also a perk, because against large enemies (where daggers take a 50% size penalty) the faceworm leg takes a 90 ATK hit, while the RWC knife only takes a 25 atk hit. Fore pure MATK, the RWC knife is a better gear than the faceworm leg.

One of the biggest problems is that this character is in the Great Leveling Game guild. (I forgot to mention that. Sorry! >_<) I can't share zeny or items with any other of my characters even on the same account unless they are in the guild. I can't buy anything directly from the Kafra shop, so I can't flip them for zeny, and unless my character is third class, he can't use Enriched/HD's nor safe certs. Hell, he can't even use the Old Battle Manuals you get from the Eden Group (which both, BMs and Eden Group quests are off-limits.)

So zeny is extremely tight for now. I won't be able to +7 anything, never mind +12, for a while unless I buy it that way. But that's too expensive. I think that's why I was looking for a Mighty Staff.

That's some kind of weird challenge run you're doing! Lots of zeny/trade/other handicaps *and* using an inefficient/weak niche build? Kudos on the bravery and good luck!

Thank you. This is a "for fun" kind of venture. I'm obviously not going to MVP or anything. lol I'm not even using any guides. I'm doing this blindly. Seeing what I can do 100% on my own.

And the "challenge" isn't all that new. It's the Great Leveling Game. If ya want, you can join us. We have a guild set up and everything. ;)

According to wiki, Staff for wiz has more aspd than dagger. I think this is not correct to define Mighty Staff has low aspd.
