A patching dilemma ...

C_IsSteam error:

Exit all RO clients and all RO patchers.
Open the RO patcher, rightclick Patchup.exe, and select "Run as Administrator". If you are on Windows XP, run it normally (there is no run as admin there).

If you don't have a patchup.exe in your RO folder, you can download it from http://drazzy.com/ro/patch/Patchup.exe

It worked once before but now, it didn't. I had the same problem again. I did all as instructed but nothing fixed. Please help. I uninstall and reinstall the game many times and I though it maybe fix it but nothing happend. The same window pop up when I clicked the play button :(

If all else fails,

Delete Ragnarok.exe and replace it with this one : http://www.drazzy.co...ch/Ragnarok.exe

Your client has generally failed to correctly update .exe and .dll files in the RO folder...

If it's installed in C:/program files and you're running Vista or later, that's why.

Help me too!!

I able play renwal since yesterday but when I open today this morning this thing occur?????

I didnt do anything... I only loggout after selling in my merchant stuff (like I always do) :p_cry: :p_cry: :p_cry: :p_cry:

I install the program on C:/ not on C:/Program Files because I'm also using Homunculus

I'm also using Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit x86 not Vista.

I'm suffering too from the client update, after trying the Patchup.exe i'm getting this now.

 

Did a complete reinstallation with the new installer (New one to me) and the problem fixed.

Not that I can't play the game , but the fact that it still can't write '2014-11-05data_gm_notice2.rgz' file right worries me . Because of this , my client can't proceed in patching future patches like it should anymore .

 

I did download the file & putting it into the right place but it somehow still attempts to get that very file & 'breaks' the current file , turning the '.rgz' file to just ... file .

 

Broken file or patch , perhaps ?

Bumping my thread .

Cleared out the patch & the thumb.db file , still not working .

Did the same clearing , this time using the downloaded file from ftp://patch1.playragnarok.com/patch/ & putting it into the RO folder , still not working .

I am not going to play further till' this patching issue is resolved . I don't want to get booted out out of sudden due to errors caused by newly implemented stuffs or worse , indefinitely by a new NPC ...

Try this:

1. Uninstall RO.
2. Delete the ENTIRE Gravity folder (after saving any screen shots and replays you want to keep).
3. Download and install the LATEST client.
4. Patch and wait until done.

I'm currently downloading the latest client , only to fail over & over again (a really slow download speed ...) . Anyways , I'm trying your method & see if it does patch itself properly again .

Re-installing helped . Now , it's doing normal updates & I can see the Christmas props & NPC already .
