How do you know they're not real players? They could be using ahk.

Assuming they're actually bots and not multiple clients, I'm pretty sure it's illegal. :u

I asked a similar question a while back and macroing chars for potting is legal.
I don't do it myself, but I know many of the top ranked potters do.

You be surprised that one person could be doing all those characters. When I'm potting and my Guild leader is milticlienting and buffing me, She don't talk cause she is too busy switching windows and casting skills

im not sure really, sorry u.u

How do you know they're all the same character?
Sometimes we have a few people that help pot in guild. The person on the Biochemist will also run MC and Strings / GK, but someone else will run the Priest, Scholar and BC.
Not that you even need all of that 100% of the time... It's very possible to pot by yourself, even with 5 or so characters open.

For huge jobs like potting, I don't see (abuse) why a macro can't be used, if it's the same speed as a human.
There are health concerns for repeated hand movements and such and by me it sounds fair.
Personally I don't pot, but once I filled a bunch of holy water using AHK, with human speed delays.
For actual game play : PVE, PVP, PVM and so on, then automation I personally perceive as an issue.
I find this a reasonable assessment -- but if there's a rule against anything I have mentioned, I'd like to know!
It would suck to be spanked for something that isn't essentially game breaking, like actual botting for example.

if you report someone that's potting you have come to a new low

slavery is wrong and anyone who is using slaves should make their peace with their maker right now and renounce their ways

iirc it's not illegal if you're in front of your computer and can pass a bot check.

Report them for cluttering up your chat window.
Posted 25 October 2014 - 04:14 AM
actually you can report them for threatening to report you. It's intimidation and harassment
Posted 25 October 2014 - 05:08 AM
Then they can report you for reporting their intent to report. Just like how the big boys of business play! Keep filing stupid injunctions till the paperwork gets lost or nobody can be bothered anymore.
Posted 25 October 2014 - 05:34 AM
Nah, not if you don't tell them

Stop correcting me omg. Reported.

Wait... what? Were they serious? I can't imagine anyone having an IQ low enough to think "being too loud" is a reportable offense...

Seems like any macro to support the WoE ppl is legal.
