Someone was probably born on this date, but that isn't important right now. Released in November of 1993, Sam and Max Hit the Road marked the high water mark during the golden age of point and click adventure games. A genuinely funny game that took Steve Purcell's offbeat comic series about bipedal, trigger happy private detectives and brought them into a expansive and colorful game world. Powered by Lucasart's legendary SCUMM engine, Sam and Max had numerous UI improvements, making the game very easy to play and a lot of fun to look at. 

 

 

 

What's on tap for this week:

 

-Monster Exp and Drops at 150% until November 5th

 

-VIP bonus exp/drops extended until November 5th

 

-Day of the Dead Mini-Quest [Repeatable]

 

-Boxter updated

 

IMPORTANT! Both servers will need to be restarted early on Sunday morning for the Daylight Savings time change. At 1:45am PDT we need to take down the servers, and will bring them back online shortly 1am PST (just a few minutes later)

 

Ongoing projects:

 

-Limited Consumable PVP room (will likely be reusing the new classic Izlude pvp map)

Yes, please just allow us to buy yellow gems from npc, instead of ...

 

buy 1000 blue gems

go to payon

convert 1000 blue into 500 red gems

convert 500 red gems into 250 yellow gems

 

Just spare us the trip to payon and the squabbles with weight and sell the yellow gems for the appropriate price please!

Second or third week in a row we've run pretty late on maintenance. Did you guys need to extend the official times or something?

The last two weeks have involved us basically not being able to start the maintenance until about 12 noon or so because we're unable to do anything with the servers until the database work (last week) or windows updates (this week) were completed. Even with our often poky pacing of updating, we aren't usually THAT late.
