 Unfortunately it looks like we are experiencing some issues beyond just doing windows updates. We have the IT team trying to figure out what happened. We will for sure be restoring any VIP time lost due to this. Once we know more we will keep you updated.

 

The Game is Up and Open login and enjoy the game.

 

It's the game that got me to beg my parents to buy a computer and the reason why I started playing video games. I had a nintendo before, but I didn't have a lot of interest in the platformers or shooters that dominated consoles of the time. X-Wing looked like a dang movie, with voice acting and everything. 

 

 

The graphics hold up ok, every pixel radiates with the skill and love for Star Wars brought by the brightest minds working at Lucasarts (RIP). The soundtrack, when played through a discreet Soundblaster card (remember those?) was light years ahead of most game music of the time.

 

And, back before the Special Editions and Prequels were even a twinkle in George's eye, it was one of the few ways on PC to get immersed in that long ago, far away world. 

 

Notes! 

  Granny Boxter is being updated

  VIP exp and drops event extended to November 5

  Monster Exp and Drops event for everyone extended until the 5th

  All Bounty Boards will have the "hunt all" option available

  New Day of the Dead quest!

  Enriched Hammer and Eat gear appear for one week

 

IMPORTANT! Both servers will need to be restarted early on Sunday morning for the Daylight Savings time change. At 1:45am PDT we need to take down the servers, and will bring them back online shortly 1am PST (just a few minutes later)

Edit: Just noticed there are a lot of items missing from the "Other Stuff" section. I don't see the +20 Stat Food Packs or any of the Party Scrolls.

It's not in yet. You have to wait till after maintenance to find out.

Could you add Ghost Chill , Blood Thirst and Will of Warrior to the Bulk-buyer shop list please? I'm sure a lot of people would be happy if you do this.

 

Also suggesting  Ancient Tree - Phylla/Ryncho for High TI, havent seen those in a while

Oh the nostalgia.

 

i LOVED the star wars space sim games (xwing, tie fighter, xwing vs tie fighter).  it's too bad that a reboot will probably never materialize.  Xwing was ridiculously hard though compared to the subsequent games.  part of the problem was that if you lost your ship in a mission, there was a 2/3 chance you would be KIA or captured by the Imperials.  In order to unlock your profile you would need to reset your character, essentially starting over at the rank of flight officer.  The highest rank I ever obtained before becoming KIA or a POW was captain (3 pips).

 

i played this game as a middle schooler; i remember ordering it through our class' Scholastic book brochure (because this was an educational product, obviously).  One thing I didn't like was the fact that I could never roll and bank at the same time (hence the maneuvers linked in the video were actually impossible for me to achieve in game).  That was never implemented in any of the subsequent games either as far I as I recall.

 

i did many dumb things in this game, mainly crashing into large capital ships when I made a wrong turn in a dogfight.  My favorite memory from Xwing has to be the time I killed an ISD with an A-Wing.  That took FOREVER.
