I have recently purchased a new laptop which has Windows 8.1

I have attempted to download Ragnarok several times only the download itself takes 15 minutes and the patch seconds. I am attempting to download it again right now but it is doing the exact same thing.

When the client has download my mouse no longer connects with the game.

Is anyone able to help or can let me know if I am missing something/looking in the wrong place?

Is Internet Explorer configured and working? The updater uses Internet Explorer to download updates, and I believe the download manager that was recently added to the official web site also uses it.

Wait, why do you say it's a patch problem? You've gotten it installed, it sounds like. Are you getting any errors while patching?

On Windows 7 and later the game sometimes loses the ability to sense mouse clicks. Alt tab out and back if this happens. It happens less add the client is left open longer.

Also, don't run it full screen on win 8 and later

I turned off the antivirus to install

I managed to sort my above issue ^^ yay.

 

But I've had to recently reinstall (today)

However everytime I try to download the client my laptop restarts itself with driver_power_state_failure error. I can't find anywhere how to fix the error and when I first downloaded RO it worked perfectly fine and now restarts itself...

any ideas? :cc
