I watched Sword Art Online, then got a little craving for a decent MMORPG.

What im looking for is...

Life based kinda
Lvls
Pets (maybe)
Killing pve and pvp
Parties

Something like the Anime Sword Art Really

with guild houses or own houses - hunting parties, collecting gold, the usual.

Im on a Mac and i really dont wanna have to pay to play a game (so free).

I doubt you will find any game that will match SOA to the expectation you hope it to be. 

 

• Everyone has their own life and agenda, and each class has it's own abilities.
• 230 levels
• We don't have pets, but you can get summons from quests, and sometimes a monster will drop it's own summon. Some classes also have Summons they can get.
  • Hawker - Call Beast
  • Scout - Hawk
  • Dealer - Mercenaries
  • Artisan - Higher level Mercenaries 
  • Muse - Bonfires to heal you and swords to help fight
  • Cleric - Better bonfires, and different types of elemental forms, and two dragons 
• There is both PvP and PvE, some maps are for both, most are not.
• You can get a Party of up to 6 players, and a group of up to 15, parties will share exp, and groups will not.

 

ROSE Online isn't supporting Mac as of now, but some players have used things like bootcamp to run it.

 

ROSE is also free, it uses the item mall to keep it going. At times it does seem like the Item Mall can be more of a Pay to Win thing.
