At most, 1 level, with like 80 or 90%. It's capped just like players.

Also, warn your friend to make sure he changes his homun to homun S *before* it levels past 99, otherwise he will permenantly miss out on homun SP/HP/stat growth. This means, he must ensure that it does not kill a single monster, even one that gives 0 exp, between when he changes to genetic, and when he changes his homun to homun S.

Thank of your answer I don't know about level up cap(since my genetic(and other job) use ton of job manual to reach job70 so when turn to genetic i only level 99 and 67% and i start to grow homunculus when I have already been genetic)

Yup. I always try to remind people in this situation about it, because it's unexpected, and one of the few ways to permanently disadvantage yourself.

Wait. Can't even kill a single mob? I thought it was just not "lvling him too much", because he may lvl up after it's mutated.. I killed just a few monsters on 2 lvl 99 sheeps, I was just afking at TI, so they didn't kill too much. Can a.. let's say 1-3% on lvl 99 screw their stat growth after mutating?

It's leveling past 99, not killing a mob.

But if you've leveled it enough as biochem/alch that it's 99 and has enough overflow experience to level (from 99 to 100) when you change to genetic, killing a single mob will cause it to gain that level, and result in missing out on stat growth.
