So

What is the current best gear combination for auto-warg?

I have been told WWS is great, but I have also heard about using FAW and Temporal Agi Boots (with Luck).

So figured I would ask the community here :D

I think using your preferred Temporal Boots with Lucky Day in your planned gear set would be a really good choice. With 100 LUK and the LD proc, you'll get 100% chance to proc Warg Strike (assuming 3 LUK = 1% auto-warg chance, I dunno if I got that right).

With 193 ASPD and CD, it's possible to proc LD quite often. Well, that's from my experience anyway.

Well atm, I have a bunch of existing gears leftover from when I quit, so I am trying to figure out what to buy to replace or go with what I have to run an auto warg build.

Weapon
+10 Elven Bow (No Card)

Armours/Etc

+7 Sniper Goggles (No Card)
Well-Chewed Pencil
+7 Holy Valkyrian Armor

+7 Immune Valkyrian Manteau
Variant Shoes

2x Nimble Bradium Brooch
2x Carefree Waterdrop Brooch

+7 Immune Nidhoggur's Shadow Garment

+7 Sniping Suit (Pasana, Swordfish, Dokebi)
+9 Rideword Hat (No Card)

Once I re-obtain and sell off an item of mine, I will have roughly 3bil zeny budget to swap/upgrade gears, so really looking at what I should focus on to reach 193 ASPD, and if possible good gear combos if not WWS.

the random magical bolt casts from CD don't hinder the warg strike casts?

+12 White Drooping Eddga (with +7 Mild Wind headgear as switch OR a +12 Small Poring Band if you just want a 1 agi build)

Pegasus Ear Wing

CD in mouth

+12 White Wing Suit (Crit enchants)

+14 Elven bow [Doppelganger or Beholder Master]

+9 Fallen Angel Wings (+24% aspd)

+12 Temporal Agi Boots (Attack Delay4, Lucky Day)

Bakonawa Agimat Tattoo

Bakonawa Agimat Tattoo

+10 Physical Shadow Set

+7 Critical Shadow Armor

+10 Athletic Shadow Shoes

That's pretty much the best realistic gear (no 20b+ MVP card included). Though you would probably go for more crit against MVPs with agi up so that your warg actually goes off.

From what I've seen in the past, nope. Then again, I guess it's hard to see because of how fast it's going.

Footage taken out from an old replay where I just poke around with Lucky Day boots.

So whats an estimate on each of those items?

Hmm.. on top of my head:
  • +12 Eddga Hat = about 1.5b.
  • Pegasus Ear Wing = about 270-300m.
  • CD in Mouth = about 60m.
  • +14 Elven [Beholder Master] = about 2b.
  • +9 FAW [max ASPD] = about 400-500m (maybe even lower now with KP box).
  • +12 Temp AGI Boots [AD4/LD] = about 2b the last time I saw one.
  • Bakonawa = about 700-800m.
The video above stresses the importance of having Crit if you want to take on more MVPs, so yeah... keep that in mind when planning your gears I guess. :heh:

Is there a big difference between +9 and +12 Temp AGI Boots [AD4/LD] price and effect wise?

You get extra +100 MHP, +10 MSP, and +3% attack speed when jumping from +9 to +12, I believe. I think +9s are sold around 900m-1.1b.

Like I said, they're only estimates on top of my head. Would be good if someone can clarify for you.

Yes, well that's true, and I am just trying to figure out how to go about gearing, I mean I just attempted to +14 my Elven bow earlier with the highest upgrade being +12 using around 80 HD bradium @_@

So I think I will focus on replacing my accessories/garment and boots for now, just really needed a rough idea of what good gears to go for, as once I have re-obtained/sold my card, I can start advertising for some :)

But yeah, I think I might try going for a FAW/TempBoots/Tattoo and see what I need from there to get a 193 ASPD, as for crit I am doing alright atm, can hit 90+ as is.

Cool. As long as you can hit and lock your targets, then you're good.  :p_laugh:

Not really sure since I didn't plan out that far yet, but I think Omnipheles' suggestion has you covered.

The video shows me that the bolts from cd doesn't make lucky day boots proc more. Also shows that the hitlock got loose.

Well, it says Lucky Day procs from both physical and magical attacks. By that definition, connecting magic bolts should give you more of a chance to proc it. It's kinda hard come up with that conclusion with just one situation/video, since it's still random in the end. I just shared that video to show that CD in Mouth's auto-bolt proc doesn't affect Warg Strike's auto-proc chance at all.

The reason why I lost that hitlock is because RSX AGI'd up, so I started to miss a lot. Damage numbers popped up less frequently, less bolts proc'd, and misses kept appearing above my head a lot more than usual.

I guess that answers my question of, does 100% crit rate mean 100% hit rate haha

100% crit rate doesn't ensure every hit land.

you need to factor in the enemy's luck as well, i think every 5 luk they got, is -1 crit from you.

Do you have any evidence or references to this? I never heard that and its very interesting.

its called critical hit shield: http://irowiki.org/wiki/Luk#LUK

you would need actual 136% crit to perfect hit the luckiest normal spawning mvp: Kiel D-01 with 180 LUK

He only loses to Bring It on (event MVP) with insane 255 LUK :p_omg: that woul block 51% of your crit :heh:

kiel is easy to hit...i could have never be able to hit the beelzebub (with converted arrows of course) , even with decent crit rate..i think wiki is outdated or something.

I remember reading somewhere that base level also affects critical hit shield (higher level = disregards critical hit shield I think?). Will someone be able to confirm this too?

That is assuming you dont have enough hit rate and are relying on critical to perfect hit your opponent ;)

Yes you need 623 flee rate to avoid 95% of its physical attacks and 582 hit to perfect hit beelzebub but with ranger you can get this hit rate and you can crit it if you desire to, 66 luk only takes 13% of your crit rate so 113 crit rate to 100% crit you see?

What's a good card for headgear for auto-warg?

Thanks.
