I thought atk from equip, unless it modifies your actual atk (by %) doesn't affect warg damage?

So just to be sure, cards/equipment that give flat ATK help auto-warg damage?

Yes, so FS enchants will raise warg strike damage. But %atk or EA enchants won't.
Btw, I'd put elemental resist on the headgear instead of atk increase cards like D.Pinguicula or Dolomedes. The damage increase isn't that significant anyway. For example, fire resist (Leib Omai) will certainly be useful when you wish to do Nid or Bako instances.

But how come, according to the iRO stat calculator, it says bakonawa tattoo will increase warg damage? Is it just the fact that it is outdated?

Unless something changed within the last couple of months, I am pretty sure flat Equip. Attack doesnt increase Warg Strikes damage. I learned this after making a Black Wing Suit that gave 90-100 flat attack (Can't remember exactly) and it had 0 effect on warg damage. Same went for Drooping Eddga (still awesome for basic attacks)

From what I see using the stat calculator is that the only ATK that helps is if the equipment modifies your existing ATK, not add onto it.
Someone else want to weigh in on this?

Default gears:
- +9 KB Elven
- +9 WW Set EA3
- ATK with bow: ~200+209
- ATK without bow: 105 + 4
- Warg Strike with full gear (WW set, bow): 10500 dmg
Tests:
- +9 Eddga Hat procs: default damage
- No gears : 5095 dmg (constant)
- Elven Bow only : default dmg
- WW Suit EA3 only : 5115 dmg (20 dmg increase.. *probably from the luk4 enchants*)
- Full WW Set only (no bow) : 5135 dmg (again, probably from the few dex enchants I have on WW Set)
- Sniper Goggle (4% ranged bonus) : 5095 dmg (constant)
- Water Converter on Fire Egg (academy) with bow only: default dmg
So looks like:
1. ranged bonus doesn't affect warg dmg
2. element doesn't affect warg dmg
3. warg damage is purely based on status attack (the left side of atk) as the damage drops by 50%, instead of 25% if equipment and weapon ATK were also calculated
So my comment about FS enchants appear to be wrong. My apologies :s

I don't understand. Your default damage was the same as no gear? So using a bow made no difference? Or your default damage was 10,500?

Yeah, I meant with full WW set and Elven bow, it's 10,500 dmg.
So basically, there's no difference in warg damage, whether you're using WW set, or any %atk / FS enchanted gears at all.
It is only calculated based on your status atk (which is doubled when you equip a bow).

Are you able to try with a bako tattoo?

I... can't. Sold mine months ago to get myself a FAW and HBP when they were in the box.

Bako Tattoo doesn't affect warg damage.

I guess this means 120 dex gives the highest damage then?

Someone invent a brand new ranger build with 120 STR please.
As if that'd go well.

Thanks for the calculator. And from what I see, only stats, and weapon modify warg damage?

You can enchant it with Dex if that is what you're going for. I always prefer stat enchants rather than getting and % enchant of something else like fs or ea.Yeah, I meant with full WW set and Elven bow, it's 10,500 dmg.

This has been done and it only works for manual wargers that uses dagger + shield. Build works greats for pvping or woe specially if you are using megs.Someone invent a brand new ranger build with 120 STR please.

Doesn't that skill have a crazy long cooldown?
