We got it on Orlo pretty much everywhere. Depending on how much you need, I might be able to help you out.  Let me know the quantity and I'll check my material storage for you.

I think the Einstern staff is sold by the weapon NPC in Muris.

Yeah, mercury and otherworldly wood drops in Orlo. More often at the Wasteland areas than the Golden Rings and Wreckage of Blinding Mist.

Thanks a lot for the replies. Where is Muris? Is that Orlo?

I haven't been to Orlo yet, been at ruins for sometime. My characters are approaching 200.

& thank you HoneyBuns for offering mats. For the Ein stern staff:

21 otherwordly wood (need)

36 mercury (need)

5 patterned leather (need)

44 petil

Hardened Ein stern staff:

1 ein stern staff

34 beam blade

21 niid stone

If I bought an ein stern from NPC it would be perfect so I could craft the hardened version which includes attack power.

Also, is there anyway to avoid getting stats on it? I know with sub stat you can not add gems, and I want to put a T7 in it.

You can gem something when it has a substat, you just need to drill a socket into it.

That hasn't been my experience. So if an item has +16 con (like a legendary), then +10 substat, you should be able to put an S7 in it? I don't think so...

As long as you drilled a socket in, any item should be gemmable as long as you put an appropriate gem in. If not, report it cause that's a bug.

What's an appropriate gem? Are you sure its any item? the 4 leaf clover on my arti has +2 str on top of the 45sen and i couldnt gem it but I figured it was either because it had a substat or bc they decided to not allow it due to the high sen. there's also been some other items i couldn't gem.

Face items can only be gemmed by briolette gems, a normal gem 7 does not work.

http://rose.irowiki.org/wiki/Gems

Gem 7's can be put into weapon/armor and rings, for the other items there are only limited options.

Sometimes it takes several tries to drill a socket into an item but it can be done. My cleric has a Legendary Amazing Brush with 18 int, mp consumption 25% that I socketed and gemmed with a B7. In the example you mentioned, if the base stat of the item is +16 con, that stat will remain when the item is socketed. however you would lose the +10 substat. You can either have a substat or a gem but not both on an item.

As for your Ein Stern, I picked one up for you in Muris. Wasn't sure if you wanted it hardened or what but whisper to me in- game and we can figure that out. Best to contact me on my cleric, Sulky.

Thanks a lot for all the help. It's more clear now. And thank you so much HoneyBuns! I will definitely add/whisper you when I'm playing.
