Id like to know the pros and cons of the +12 LFH VS +12 Eddga. Not sure which one i want to focus on to upgrade tight on budget and can only choose one right now to focus on. I have a +12 CEB for woe tho. For this is basically all PVM related including MVP.

Well one is constant the other is proc guess depend on if what you killing last long enough to justify proc dmg.. and depending on your dmg eventually percent would be better or equal to the proc

+12 LFH
pros:
- damage boost is always there
- has a slot for cards
- cheaper as you only need a +7. Getting a +12 doesn't boost damage.
cons:
- refine levels above 7 don't give any boost
- If you have a lot of crit damage% increments, relative impact of headgear is lower.

+12 Eddga
pros:
- higher refine gives higher proc chance and boost
- increases atk, so the more %damage increments, the larger the effect
- at +12, procs very often
cons:
- no slot
- boost is a proc, so it isn't constant
- If refine level is low, proc rate is low

I also have a question in relation to OP. What would be better; +13 isabella red with temp luk boots w/ 120 luck vs +13 eddga with agi boots w/o 120 agi?

Keep in mind with Dark Claw coming, even "long" MVP fights will be very short.

Yea ive read about the Dark claw and tested it as well its pretty nice hence y im trying to get ready on here now. I think ill go with the Eddga hat on this one. Now im just wonder which will do more crit for me a upgaded kvm jham or Chakram with enchats carded and upgraded

Chakram+sin cuff on anything besides demihumans from my tests. Would have to compare on demihuman monsters, depends on the refines of both weapons (the kvms get a bonus till +14 and it'll pull ahead I *think*. I tested with both weapons at +9, someone with +10 or higher could fill us in).

Well if someone answers my attack formula thread I could get my numbers right haha. As it is atm +12 gx katar beats +12 chakram/sin cuff provided you have luck boots with 120 luck (30% extra crit). I think my numbers may be a little wrong so defs need some help there/ further testing.

Hmmm. Somewhere on the thief class forum I saw a nice graph showing how as the aspd reaches towards 193 the hits per second rises exponentially .. I believe slaughter bonus is like that plus the upgrade bonus of a level 4 vs the level 3

Also it means you don't have to get 193 aspd when you use a KVM weapon since it has that proc. a high enough aspd will proc it fast and keep it that way. At 190 I get a constant 193 after it procs. Leaving you accessory slots to play with allowing you 2 bakonawa tats thereby not having to invest too much into AGI allowing you a more decent stat distribution of you're doing 120 luk.

Hopefully all that made sense. Still posting from work. All babies have fallen asleep now. I'm bored ~_~

IMO If I had to choose between refining a +12 LFH or +12 Eddga, I'd make the +12 Eddga. It's used more often during non-MVP moments than LFH. It also procs through skills and also increases their dmg. It's not like any GX would ctrl click 5+ mobs when it's alot faster and easier to RC/CRS. =p

 

Plus, if you plan on using any combo of the following: Chakram/Sincuff, Aunoe Cards, Temporal Luk Boots (120 LUK build), Eddga would be much better.

That's for katar though. DD crit does not use RC at all due to lack of DA and katar skills that require it. For a DD crit build, I would go with the constant boost over the eddga except for fights like Amdarais that are certain to last a while.

As for DA build, you can still have RC, so the same as a katar build applies.

Couldnt it work with a +13 kvm katar + Temporal Luk Boots (no 120 luk)
