Hi I'm making a hybrid rk, at least I'm trying to. I like the thought of being a jack of all trades kinda guy, can mob if I want to , or go aspd+autocast+crit to change things up. And I just need some help with gears and stats too if you could. Im still only lvl 108/18 right now but im planning to level mainly with IB+BB. What gears should i get/use so I could accomplish this?

 

I dont know if stats would be relevant but here it is anyway:

 

str    80     maybe raise this some more

agi   80     agi is maxed at 80. figured I can get 193 aspd with berserk pots+twohand quicken+asir+alca

vit    42     currently raising vit and int. maybe vit to 90

int    40     and int to 60-80

dex  65     dex I should be fine at max 70

luk   30     and rest of the points here

I'm thinking of using this as my set when IB lvling so i can deal the most dmg to1 hit mobs:

VF FS9 (2 x zipper bear) and just use converters 

 

then maybe if I deal too much dmg I can substitute some of the equips for more survivability and more sustainable leveling, until it looks like this:

No Idea What Acce To Use

RTE (undecided if 3x hunter fly or get atk boosting cards like zipper bear/hillslion or sword guardian) + racial shield

 

I'm planning to lvl at nogg once I get IB until about ~120 if that changes anything. Or you know, just camp mid TI...

 

What do you guys say?

Try to rise your STR to 90~100  and DEX should be at 80 not 70, STR cause you will need all the damage you can get, also, if you are going to be soloing a double hunterfly carded Violet Fear will be great or triple hunterfly in a RTE.

 

For one shotting you will need to equip the black ribbon and there will be no room for the Vanargand so, HF will save you.

 

Get Peuz Accs and put on the Variant, dont use the BSB, you dont want to sacrifice your footgear slot putting on some shackles.

 

You will get 40 atk and 40 sp, plus enchants and cards on them and you will get the 20% on hp and sp

hmm.. I've never considered Peuz Seal... Always thought they should be a set to work haha

 

About that, what are good enchants I should go for? And cards to slot them with? I'm guessing one should be Phen, right?

 

About the 80 dex, I'm just not sure... Since I'm going for hybrid build, I'm trying to save as much stat as possible so I want to keep dex at minimum and my HIT seems fine , not to mention Spear Dynamo gives a huge boost. Also, I'm not going to pvp/woe, having said that, should i still go for 80 dex?

EDIT: Since we're on the topic of accessories, what are your thoughts on Glorious RIng + Medal of Honor (Swordsman) combo?

The 80 DEX, are for the hit, for PVM/MVP there are mobs that have pretty high flee, but it is up to every person i try to have between 80 and 90, it also increase your average damage and serves to cast time.

 

As a two handed and hybrid class i like wearing the Peuz Set, so i dont worry too much for the hit anyway, you will get a very good crit.

 

Enchants for the Peuz Accs, try to get SP Enchants will help you alot, you need to have a pretty good SP Pool, cards phen will work, however I dont remeber if the IB can be interrupted :S, but Kobold Cards are good, crit +4 str +1.

 

MOD+GR its a very good combo, it have the KBC effect, plus 10% atk and 5% aspd, and 8% recovery from items.

I tried IB and it doesnt look like its interruptible so.. 2 kobold cards?

 

About the dex I'll just try to get a feel for it, if I start getting misses then I'd raise it.

Glorious ring is good, but I wouldn't buy the medal of honor unless you have like three or more swordsman classes on the same account.

I'd actually recommend using a peuz or ur's accessory with SP enchants since they help an RK quite a bit. RKs have the lowest sp pool in the game.

80~90 dex should actually be a minimum, especially if your a hybrid, you will miss at around 20% of the time at monsters 135+ if you have lower than 80 dex unless you invested into cards or gears that give you HIT, even constant Spear Dynamo at less than 80 dex wont let you hit much. This coming from a hybrid Dragon Breath RK myself, I went the DB route instead of IB so I invested into more Int instead of Str to take advantage of the Enchant Blade buff.

This isn't true. I was able to hit most things with 90-100 DEX on an RG. If roughly converting back to an RK with the 50 HIT from Spear Dynamo 5 for an RK, that means I only need 40-50 DEX, holding all other factors constant. The same goes for other classes who rely on HIT. I also have RKs with lower DEX who have no problems hitting high level monsters.

However, the loss of DEF makes keeping spear dynamo up a disadvantage for taking damage. So there are still other considerations.

The main purpose of a hybrid build for an RK is to allocate stats in a balanced fashion. The main thing would be to have STR, which a "pure" DB does not have or has less of. DEX would be a good place to start sacrificing because you don't need that much to HIT, and you can rely on % reduction gears for cast time. 120 DEX builds for temporal dex boots would be a totally different story though.

I would still recommend 60-70 dex minimum however since you don't always want to rely on spear dynamo because of the loss of DEF, SP usage, and so on. That and you do get quite a bit of stat points when you are 135~150 and you can definitely fit more into DEX.

Also, make sure to put some points into LUK, especially as a hybrid build. LUK is a good all around stat that has different benefits, and that is consistent with the purpose of a hybrid RK. LUK also gives a pretty good amount of HIT. If you have high DEX but still can't hit with high accuracy, it could be because your build has no LUK.

As for the dex, I think Im gonna go the safe route and just add dex when I start missing a lot, just so I can save as much points here as possible. Vit Im planning to get at least 80, maybe more. Int at least 60. And rest on to luk.

 

About the accessories, 2 peuz seals with sp enchants then? Maybe replace one with glorious ring when I get my hands on one.

Hunterfly carded RTE  for mobbing + racial shield is what Im going to go for, I think.

 

Headgear would be black ribbon for the dmg (Shouldnt have bought vana..  S>+7 Vana [1]  ). Please let there be enriched hammer soon   .

The MOD is good but due to the cost of it on Eden Group Medals Exchange or with Battleground Badges its pretty high, so he meant that unless you have many sword guys on the acct the effort doesn't worth it.

 

Cause you can get a similar effect on a different acc which can cost less and can be more easily obtained.

 

Vanargand is the upgraded version for the Rideword Hat its awesome dont sell it, it will help in a different moment.

 

And yeah use SP enchants on the Peuz

One last question if you dont mind, I forgot to ask, where do sword guardian cards fit into all of this? Cause I figured it might be helpful if Im going to combo IB+BB to lvl.

 

Is it better to use SG carded weapon than a hunterfly carded one? If so, what weapon to use?

Due to the cooldown of IB you may not be able to use it as spameable skill, so the idea is while the cooldown of IB pass, you can keep killing with BB, so the idea is to max the damage of your secondary skill as much as you can. It will go this way: You vrs Mob = IB+BB+IB and so on.

good thing i havent bought hunter fly cards yet. i already bought an SG card when i saw one earlier, since it doesnt show up in the market often.

 

i just wanna make sure i put it in the proper weapon.

Both are good its up to you, I mean if you are ok, on spending pots healing yourself you can go with SG but if you are in a budget you may need to choose the HF.

What's your current / planned method for healing (HP)? Try out your current gears and see how you fare, and see what you need help with.

The point of the Hunter Fly cards is to keep your HP up if you aren't spamming pots or something else. Do note that even with three hunter fly cards, you still need some pots or something else either just for emergencies or for occasional potting on top of the hunter fly leech.
