I had an idea of switching some of the single handed items (even shields) so that you can hold them in the other hand.

 

E.G. 1 handed swords are all held in the right hand, why not make an alternate version of them that can be held in the left hand? we could get dual wielding knights, or even a right handed shield, I would find it fun messing around with 2 shields in my hands. xD

Maybe even a left/right hand bow/cross bow? dual wielding crossbow's (since it seems to only take 1 hand to fire them), I would also find it fun shooting at bosses or enemies with my bow in my right hand.
