If you run into this error, try the following: remove your homunculus file AZZYAI... try removing all the files in USER_AI folder then try it.

Recently when I try running classic RO, I get a "No ClientInfo File!!" error followed by C:\Gravity\Ragnarok Online\data\RixSquirrel_10 etc.etc. error.  I have seen other people have the same issue, but no clear solution listed.

I was not having this issue until today, and sometimes when I reboot it will randomly work... but usually not. I run windows 8 on a very new, very fast PC with a gtx 980. My direct x are all up to date.

I have tried the following:

  • Patch renewal and then run classic
  • Run as admin
  • Set compatibility to earlier windows versions
  • Set a shortcut to clragexe and add -1rag1. This only ends up connecting to renewal servers.. maybe I am doing something wrong.
  • Reinstall
  • Redownload and reinstall

Any ideas?  I want to get back to killing porings ASAP.

Thanks

IIRC, this problem is the result of a computer being "too fast" at starting the game, causing the client to try to load while the patcher hasn't yet let go of the data files. This was, I think, fixed on renewal - somehow - because I haven't heard of it in ages. But your case certainly sounds like the old bug.

I think i'd do the -1rag1 thing to start it, and the normal way of running it to patch. For classic, however, you need to do -1old1 instead of -1rag1.

I've also been having this issue since this week's maintenance. Any idea why this happened all of a sudden?

The bypass worked for me as well, but I don't consider this a permanent fix. Is there something that we can do to prevent the error from happening?

I dont understand the -1old1, I remember having to do the -1rag1 and -m for mumbles etc but I can't add the -1old1 tag to the end of the exe it wont allow me to do it.

Windows also won't let me add -1old1 to the end of target, really want to fix this =x

It seems uninstalling RO from my SSD and reinstalling on an old sata drive fixed this problem for me.

Edit again, fixed it for about two days, ugh

No Client Info File

This has been happening 10 times or more at random and totally no reason.

If it happens, it will keep me of saying this again and again... sometime I re-switch on my PC and it runs fine.

My HDD is 250GB SATA2 about 5 years old.

I got the same problem (no clientinfo file) after installing internet explorer 11.

I had ie8 before, all was working fine.

The solution with "clragexe shortcut -1old1" is working.

"Removing all files in USER_AI folder" is not working for me.
