Hi, i am new player here, i have't download the installer yet, but before that i want to ask some basic question. please help and answer my question.

 

i had play RO 10 years ago, now try to play it back.

 

question,

1) how many server is there? what is the different?

2) is there any 3rd class character to play?

3 ) how is the game set to ? is the game set to easy leveling? (which means kill a poporing can get a lot of experience and leveling a few level)

4) do i need to pay to play the game? is it free to play?

5) how many people are still playing this game? each server?

1) how many server is there? what is the different?

There are 2 servers: Renewal (Chaos) and Classic (Loki). Classis uses pre-Renewal mechanics and Renewal's mechanics are more reflective of modern MMORPGs with fixed cast times and other things. Classic has exponential EXP requirements while Renewal is more linear.
 

2) is there any 3rd class character to play?

Not really sure what you're asking here. All 3rd Classes are available on iRO and we have Kagerou and Oboro for Ninja advancement.

On iRO, rates are 1x EXP/drops for default and goes up to 1.5x EXP/drops if you buy VIP subscriptions.

iRO has been free to play since 2010.
 

5) how many people are still playing this game? each server?

Classic server has about 500ish players at a time while Renewal server has about 2,000ish players.

Only guild war feature RO has is War of Emperium. You can get general information about it here.

There are 3 different WoEs, each taking place at different times during the week. iRO's WoE times are listed in this thread: http://forums.warppo...emperium-times/

We also have the Battlegrounds PVP feature, but that's not really restricted to guilds only.

There's 2 servers, Renewal, and Classic. Renewal has 3rd jobs, a more modern leveling formula, more content in general, where Classic has better WOE(far more balanced, and you can be effective without being a lv 99 trans char), and It's harder to lv.

 

All the third jobs are in the game(renewal server only), as are the 2nd job(s) for Ninja, and the 150 expansion for Super Novice(pretty sure those are renewal only as well, since they weren't here prereneal)

Same as above, It's been f2p since 2010. You do have the option to pay for VIP status though(It lets you create more then 3 characters, you get a 50% xp boost, you don't have to pay the zenny fee to transcend, lower death penalty, exc)

 

Actually It's 2,500+-3,000ish for renewal server.

Yes. The original entrances were removed when Episode 12 was released (replaced with Dimensional Gorge maps). There are new entrances near the Fort Saint Darmain maps (cmd_fild06, cmd_fild08, cmd_fild09).

However, it's part of the new beginner quest chain that was implemented with new Izlude. If you make a new character, you'll start the new chain.

You need to get a Neutralizer to reset skills(400 points from Kafra shop or buy from player), and you need reset stones to reset stats(how many stones you need, depends on what lv you are).

you can reset your skills for free as long as you are level 99 or less... theres a NPC for it in Prontera near the tool shop and one in izlude near the center of town... NPC: Hypnotist

what are the benefits doing eden quest?

i found out that bounty quest have more experience then eden quest.

Eden quests will reward you EXP and Eden gears, which are good beginner gears before you move on to better ones. Bounty Boards just reward you EXP and money, as it's a community project, so you don't get gears from them.

eden gears can get you to third class with little trouble.  once you get there though, you'll want to look at getting some better equipment.  but it's still good enough for 99 twice over.

 

you can get first aid from the academy but afaik the original first aid quest is still in game and completable (since you currently lose the ability on transcending).

i do some eden quest , but it just give me novice red potion,  how to get the equipment/gear?

gotta level more to get into the apporpriate range and talk to instructor Boya behind the desk i believe... cant say for 100% since ive never done it myself

Yes. Go to Aldebaran (warp from Prontera if you're non-VIP) and look for a Santa NPC in the top right corner of the city. Talk to Santa and he'll warp you to the Lutie field. Go to the warp portal north of the field and you'll end up in Lutie.
