A very silly question about the forums:

 

I just noticed I have a "friend".   I was wondering whether this is because I actually clicked "add friend" myself or whether you get mutually added as friends even when only one person clicks it? Because... I don't actually remember adding this person as a friend, heh.

You have to had accepted a friend request in order for that user to appear on your friendlist (and vice versa). You can't have one-way friendships, as far as I'm aware.
