I've been getting the following error in attempting to patch Sakray after having to reinstall RO earlier this week. This is coming from a fresh client DLed from playragnarok.

I've been unable to get around it no matter what I do. I've tried:

  • Reinstalling and patching Sakray.
  • Patching Classic and Renewal then patching Sakray.
  • Running with and without admin.
  • Running on the most stable connection I could find.
  • Moving the RO folder in case privileges were blocking it (I use Win7 with that cruddy UAC nonsense).
  • Making sure the registry was up-to-date with RO's junk.
  • Checking my firewall to make sure the patch server wasn't getting blocked and the app was getting through.

I have no more ideas! Please help!

Edit: forgot to mention that it's ALWAYS 2012-6-20data_gm_sak.rgz that causes the issue. I ran through all those points sequentially, attempting to patch each time, and it always failed with that file. Interestingly, when the patcher fails and I close it, upon restarting it the patcher always begins by grabbing files from 2011-4-4. No matter what it downloaded before it throws and error, it always starts at 2011-4-4.

The easiest and most reliable fix is to manually patch it.

That error indicates the updater successfully downloaded the update file, but failed to either extract it or write the extracted files; however, if you've recently reinstalled the IRO client using the latest version of the installer, then the updater shouldn't even be attempting to install such an old update.

I recommend that you reinstall the Sakray client by doing the following:
  • Download and then extract this file (which is a Zip archive that contains files I extracted from latest version of the IRO installer).
  • Copy the files contained in the extracted folder into your IRO client installation folder and replace the existing files.
  • Open the Sakray client.

That worked! Thank you very much Axylus.

I was worried for a sec as your link had been removed from ge.tt, but a few moments later you updated your post with a new one XD

Note: I recommend that you create a backup of the client installation folder before using the Sakray client because its updates sometimes break the other clients.

Thanks for the help Axylus, but I still have problems.

I extracted the file in the ragnarok folder and then opened the ragnarok client. It began to update. When I logged in the server my char didn't had any item or equip, and then throw a lot of errors.

I've tried to update sak again but I had the same error.

help pls  y _ y

You must update the Renewal client before you update the Sakray client (by extracting the 7-Zip archive).

By the way, are you aware that Sakray is currently offline? :P
