Hi guys I've started playing this server of Ragnarok (Chaos) but I don't know where to start since everything is different from what I know.

 

I've decided to create a straight alchemist and keep playing with it, but I simply don't know where to level, where do I farm zeny, I know nothing (i'm not jon snow).

 

So any tips would be veeeeeeeery welcome.

get cart revolution asap. probably gona be you're main leveling skill assuming you wont have any early money to pay for alchemist supplies.

 

do eden group quests. you can find the eden group npc in every town (its the white novice looking npc). 

 

the equips you get from them are fairly decent for as free items and aren't hard to get

 

most basic info can be found in the wiki. though the builds and such are outdated, the skill, quest and general info found there are fairly accurate

i encourage you not to make merchant line as your main character.
choose class who is effective on damage dealing and farming items such as Swordsman, Thief and Archer line.

I encourage you to main a merchant class because they're awesome. They will require you to spend a good amount of zeny on equips and supplies, but that goes for every class. If you enjoy it, stick with it. Don't listen to them.

Most new players without much funds or gears go with an AGI build for their alchemist. Once you get to eden gramps turn in parties range, it's probably easiest just to join a party. You can get a homunculus as soon as possible too to help kill things (pre-trans characters tend to max out their job level early on, so homus only giving base EXP works perfectly with that).

Don't go the AGI route with biochemist, unless you intend to do a stat reset for sure (costs money / reset stones).

Geneticist is the best MVP class in the game.

My build was something like this. VIT 99, DEX 40, STR 85. My Vanil level me up all the way to 93 in Orc Dungeon in a couple of days, Semi-AFK. Then I hit Gramps TI per a recommendation in the forum as a Pot Healer. Became Trans from 95 to 99 in just a couple of hours with Battle Manual X3.

 

I was Cart Reving everything as Merch and Low level Alchemist, then got my Vanil and it level me up pretty quickly.
