The Darkness Rises
 


 
Happy Hour!


Get Happy Hour Bonuses when you want them! Go meet up with Beer Baron Rico lounging at the Nova Lux Bar!
  • Beer Baron Rico gives Daily Quests that give different brews of awesome bonuses!
  • General Changes
    • A vast majority of Warrior, Berserker, Battlemagician, Druid, Elementalist DNA have been changed drastically. We will be doing a forced reset on all players.
    • Mercenaries Stats have been incorrectly tuned in the past. Previously they all shared the same stats regardless of the type of Mercenary they were. This is no longer the case.
    • Mercenary Chase ranged was lowered to 50 meters from 100 meters.
    • Mercenary CON stat has been correctly allocated. They have CON now.
    • Mercenaries were not getting Armor bonuses when they were upgrading. This is no longer the case.
    • New Compounding recipes have been added for Converting Frost Tokens to Shard of Nach Gate and vise versa.
    • New Ioxenic Mystery Boxes will now drop off of all monsters in the world. These boxes contain mysterious rewards to those that open it.
    • New Shards of Infinity have been added to the game. Compounding these shards with various other items in game can result in some cool results.
    • New Icons for some class skills have been added
    • Warriors and Berserkers can now wield Dual Swords.
    • Speak with Farmer Oda in Trifri about the exciting life of being a Rex Farmer!
    • Berseker - This class has gone under a major change.


      NEW SKILLS:
      • Blood Rage: Deal damage to the opponent to drink their blood and replenish your health.
      • Bartuk Legacy: Passively gain a large increase in Max HP in exchange for less armor.
      • *New* Hyper Mode: Sacrifice a large portion of your own HP in order to regenerate a substantially larger amount over a short period of time. (Old Hyper mode is renamed: RAGE)
      • Megaton Slash: Use the full force of your might in order to massive amounts of damage
      • Bartuk's Savagery: Sacrifice a large portion of your own HP in order to be immune to slows, sleeps and other forms of crowd control for a short time.
      • Shred Armor: Deal a great amount of damage in order to shred your opponent's armor for a short period of time.
      • Rend Flesh: Gut your opponent so they can massively bleed for a short period of time
      •  

        Battle Magician Changes
        • Rage of Bugs becomes a Battle Magician skill and now deals Fire Property Damage.
        • Throwing Wastewater's name has now become Pneumatic Fallout and now deals Wind Property Damage.
        • Absorbing Energy now deals Fire Property Damage and keeps the chance to heal.
        • Thrown Vine now deals Wind Property Damage and keeps the movement speed reduction.
        • Natural Healing now heals up to 5, 10 or 15 party members depending on skill level.
        • Armor Mastery becomes a Battle Magician skill and the prerequisite level requirement is reduced.
        • Approach becomes a Battle Magician skill and the prerequisite level requirement is reduced.

        • Elementalist Changes
          • Phobia line of skills now have an instant damage component added.
          • Invisible Arrow becomes an Elementalist skill under Hydrophobia with Water Property Damage.
          • Flaming Sword Counterattack becomes an Elementalist skill under Pyrophobia with Fire Property Damage and reflection chance.
          • Mysterious Storm becomes an Elementalist skill under Electrophobia and now deals Electric Property Damage.

          • Warrior Changes
            • Warriors can now learn Dual Wield Mastery.


            • Mare-Gall, The Avatar of War


              Mare-Gall, General of the Southern Hammerine Nach Forces was a fearsome man. No one understood his fanatical love for battle and his obsession with war. Though born into the nobility bloodline of the Gall family, Mare-Gall forsook his heritage of becoming a High Elemental Priest of the Grand Nach Empire and became enthralled in the arts of swordplay. Though small in stature, this did not stop him from fighting the bigger children in his school. No one expected this high noble lineage to be so engrossed with the physical ways to break a man. 
               


              Further into his life he joined the ranks of the low caste and recruited himself to the  Nach Army Reserve. There he began to master his ways of combat. He rose up within the ranks in such a speed that his opponents sought to kill him before he got too strong. They were not prepared for what they would awaken. Like a cornered dog, this man destroyed his abductors with his bare hands. Those who ran from the fight only recall a possessed demon who would not hear his victim's cries for mercy. 


              During the great war, he made a name for himself by winning all of his battles. Every tactician would have an answer for his strategy, but they could never estimate the true might of Mare-Gall himself. The only thing that stopped this war machine, was the great incident itself. Like all the Nach in the world, they disappeared.


              What brought Mare-Gall back into this world is unknown. What is he doing in this world is also unclear. Though only an Avatar of his true power, this being is not someone to be taken lightly.
              • Mare-Gall is roaming around Nightmare Crescent.
              • Lieutenant Geewoah has a daily quest involving the destruction of Mare-Gall.

                Oh thank goodness lol. 
                On another note, big issue with ele debuffs: Unless the skill is the same level, the new one cast will not take over the last res debuff. Ruins pvp since there's not enough skill points to max more than one debuff.

                 

                Also, for best testing and exploring the new skills in general, will there be a NPC for this while skills are worked on?

                We will be turning on Son of Santa soon (probably tomorrow). But gotta make sure he actually works... I remember him not working correctly last time he went live.

                Will Lyle be boosted slightly more than free mercs? They take a lot more malls to improve. Also will his appearance change any? He doesn't look any different apart from the name.

                Will Lyle be boosted slightly more than free mercs? They take a lot more malls to improve. Also will his appearance change any? He doesn't look any different apart from the name.

                 

                Lyle's appearance will remain the same. though he is suppose to be the higher damage of the three by a good margin. If he its' still not doing the damage that is intended we will look into adjusting the numbers.

                haha zerk lvl 1 immunity 5 secs long but in skill it shows 15 secs duration....

                If mercs stats are ment to have been applied, my lyles stats remain the same.i haven't got a decent ranked free merc to see

                  Lets see if this Patch works....... BTW Alteris, how about FREE PRIMIUM for a few days. Since you guys did the CLONE EVENT, I havent really played. One main reason was bag space issues. Gravity hasent had a FREE Premium event is ages (years?)... Just saying, I wanted to give this new update/xmas a shot, so how about making it easy on returning/new players?

                bartuk legacy should be active buff not passive......defense penalty is 45% to high and -450 def from reckless...too much defense gone...
