Hey guys, I'm a new Oboro that started earlier this month.  Since the 175/60 is nearing us, how much will it affect us since we can only get up to 160/50?  It's kind of saddening but I don't think I'll give up unless there is a really big discrepancy in power between us and the 3rd jobs.

even if the power difference is huge it doesnt mean you need to give up... always push yourself and youll be amazed at what you can do... and the GMs are trying to push kRO to let us go to 175/60 with the other classes so we dont get left behind... instead id suggest all kagerou and oboro band together to dissuade them from allowing Pure Soul to be nerfed so that when you take damage pure soul is cancelled... THAT is the biggest threat to the class far more than being a few levels behind (we were stuck 99s for years after 150 arrived and never were given trans so weve always been a bit behind)...

Wasn't Pure Soul also suppose to be a barrier type of move where you have a chance to evade attacks?  So they are removing that and making it so damage cancels it?

i think it still has the chance to avoid attacks but if you do get hit it gets cancelled... its really a terrible idea considering how tiny our HP pool is even with max vit and gears...

Original skill description says that it was supposed to get canceled if you get hit. They lefted out as it is for a while and then made a patch to "fix." Its not here yet, but who knows when it will be implanted since everything is so puzzling in terms of patch/client stuff.

Cicada/Mirror Image should be able to sustain pure soul, but i wouldn't be dependent on pure soul anymore if we get the patch.

175/60 wont affect us much in terms of pvm or MVP. it will affect us heavily on PvP or WoE if you ever do them. overall hp scales gets bigger for 3rd classes abount 20k average.

Yeah, hopefully it gets lost somewhere... I play way too reckless to stay alive with Pure Soul cancelling when being attacked x.X

(Pff, I like being reckless, too lazy to adapt :P )

Edit: However I am sure that if that nerf eventually hits iRO, we will adapt - that's what we do. We survived the Throw Kunai nerf and found better styles after not being able to rely on TK anymore. Though I only play solo, from my experience and what I read on the forums by fellow Ninjas/Kagerous/Oboros, we are one of the most flexible class, which I like a lot about it.
