Hi all. I have a 150/50 RG that I want to use it for solo MVP/MVP and do instances like ET with my Ranger and AB friend. I want to see if there can be more improvements on my gears. I saw a video on youtube recently about RG soloing various MVPs and that guy was doing insane DPS with like 50k per VP on Fallen Bishop with like max aspd and have more than 100k hp. He might not be on iro because it is not in English. But still I want to see if I can make more improvements on my gears or stats (since free reset npc is coming in)

 

My current gear for MVP is 

+9 Lord of the Dead Helm (what card should I put on)

Pirate Dagger

+9 Imp Spear EA9 with AK card

+9 Alice Valk Shield

+9 Valk armor D+3 with Peco Peco card

+9 Raydric HBP

+9 E.Variant with Firelock Soldier card

Medal of Honor Swordsman+Glorious Ring combo

when MVP agi ups, I switch to +7 Gungnir with AK and Mummy card and Valk armor with Ancient Mummy card. I do avoid solo agi up MVPs only kill them in ET with my friends.

 

My base stats are

S100, A90, V100, I59, D90,L2

 

My skills builds are max VP, OB, Inspiration and Vanguard force. My tactic was just inspiration and buffed/pot/food and then VP the MVP at 185 aspd/OB to clear slaves

 

So do you guys see any improvements on gears besides upgrade my Imp Spear over 10 and buy +23 physical shadow set (both of these will cost hundreds of million to billion of zeny which I don't have that much fund currently)

Should I reset my stat to lower Int and allocate it to Str and Vit, or even Luk? What stats should I go for after 175/60 patch comes in

Also what do you guys think of the 3rd class kill/New skill for RG? I personally don't think it is worth learning for MVP purpose. What skills should I get for the 10 new job points after the patch?

 

A last question. Does Ifrit have Agi up? On Iro wiki it shows Ifrit can't Agi up but when my small ET party tries to kill him, at some point all my VPs will miss, but my Ranger friend can still AS him (for other Agi up MVPs his AS won't hit). Is it Agi up or some other skills? Any advice on how an RG, a Ranger and an AB can kill him since all our attempts on ET ends here thanks to his Earthquick. Ranger has put many traps but it seems useless.

Ifrit doesn't agi up, it just has really high natural flee.

RG is ok for some easier instances and for MVPs that don't agi up and don't have really high flee. Inspiration is going to be especially bad when you level over 150 since 1% becomes a LOT of exp.

A more optimal ET setup would be gen + sura + AB or strings usually.

EQ is a huge pain given your setup. Only trick i can maybe think of is the AB tanking ifrit and you saccing the AB and the ranger kills it.

And the worst situation is that after I found the MVP, cast inspiration and start working on it, then a gene come from no where, throw out some acid bombs and kill the MVP in like 10 secs. Well the gene doesn't do anything wrong, but I just like waste 1m exp for nothing.

 

As for Ifrit, is ghostring card+alice card the best way to tank it? Are there other ways to reduce more damage from EQ in addition to these two cards?

Energy coat, mental strength of course, GTB nullifies it. More people onscreen minimizes it but even with 10 people EQ will probably still one shot you. Basically most people without GTB will use a sura or some tokens for it.
