Is the formula still the same as when 150/50 was the max?

According to this:

http://forums.warppo...lance-formulas/

Activation chance: [(Job Level / 2) + (50 + 5 * Skill Level)] %

We had to put 5 points before to have a 100% chance.

But if the formula remains the same, it means we only need 4 points now because we got 10 more job levels. Is that correct?

What if I still put 5 points in it? It'll have 105% chance? Seems strange right?

there should be no changes; or that the devs never bothered to write a small notice about it; (honestly i think they don't really bother editing the existing skills)

it will probably just cap at 100%; the game probably won't get what 105% chance means (or idk really, haha i'm not a programmer)

but anyways, why invest points into CE? (just curious, i haven't really done anything besides trying to make zeny whenever i can log in lately)

afaik it was pretty much cemented into a gimmick skill (though was fun at first, when pre-balance patch, even level 1 CE was 95% activation chance), since it's usually results in double KO's from things like gfist, melee gohs, and crushing strike (you could survive weaker skills or attacks from opponents with substandard gear, but it's likely that you're left with low HP for other stray skills to get you killed in busy settings like WoE; probably less of an issue in PvP)

The formula also says that the Sura only takes 10% of the skill's damage while CEing. So it'll be enough to survive GFists and such, no?

Wouldn't it act basically like Mental Strenght?

you take the full damage from enemy skill first, and then the 10% of your CE damage (that 10% can be quite large too, enough to finish you off if you barely survived the initial damage)

just a conservative example: you have 300 ATK, 50000 HP, lvl 175, using lvl 5 CE;

your enemy uses GoH and deals 30000 damage;

your CE deals 3500% ATK damage + 60000 flat damage

enemy receives 70500 CE damage;

you get the 30000 GoH damage + 7050 CE damage;

low-HP-GoHs/GFists/CStrike would really hurt for both players

Oh, I tought you only took 10% of the damage you would receive.

Man the formulas and escriptions of RO skills are so hard to understand.

Missing brackets, resumed information that leads to mistakes, etc...

Not having a reliable database sucks.

Well, anyways, thank you very much. Guess that skill is not as good as I tought :(
