So far it all adds up to the same rates. OP and a few others just had bad "luck" this time.

I think I have a KVM curse lol. Every time I try to upgrade one it gives me a hard time.

KVM is definitely cursed. Mine used about 600+ Enrich, 35 HD. 

 

Although my infamous cursed HF used 300 enrich, 64 HD, never got to +10. (but yea, 64 +9s in 300 enrich)

5 Boxes of E. Elu got me:
6 +9 RWC Pin
6 +9 FAW
4 +9 EMH


This time:

2 boxes E Ori:
+10 Pile Bunker

1 box E Elu:
1 +9 Skull Cap

83 enriched elu got me my +9 temp boots and EMH.

 

43 enriched ori and 5 HD ori later and my chakram is still +9. D:

I was upgrading a Nidhoggur's Shadow Garb (at Mighty Hammer, mind you) and the guy suddenly hits his own darn thumb with his hammer.    Now he's telling me to collect items. Has this happened to anyone else?

also prob not safe to use a rotten bandage for that. Try to convince him to use Fabric and a bit of aloe vera.

It was at +9 and he failed. On his first try, yes. It's a miracle his thumb didn't break though, considering the size of his hammer.

Exactly. I suppose I could have tried on a different character, but 4 potions and a bandage isn't a whole lot, so I just went and got them.

+7 to +9 wws with 18 e.elu
+7 to +6 wws with 41 e.elu

The kvm curse is over!!!  Went to +10 on 3rd attempt. Didn't even have to buy any more enriched. Tried and failed 2nd attempt. Went back to +9 with one encriched and 3rd try was a charm lol.

Whenever I buy what I think is just enough Enriched ores, Enriched Hammer fails me!
Whenever I buy more than enough Enriched ores, Enriched Hammer succeeds during the first few tries.

 

Now I have so many spare ores that I can't even sell.

 

My results:

+9 Skull Cap -- 3~6 Enriched Elu and 5 frickin Safe to 7 Certificates just to get to +7

+9 TSOD -- 4~5 Enriched Ori

+9 RWC Memory Knife -- had a bit of a harder time with this one... 8 Enriched Ori

 

I still have some ores to spare but I have no other +7 stuff with me now, and I don't want to buy more certs for my other equipment anymore (not now at least). Next time probably... need to save up for stuff anyway... plus I'm already happy with what I got.

My HF and Skull Cap deemed it necessary to eat 2 full boxes of elu+ori each.
