Hi all,
I just created my first mage type character here in IRO.

I'm kinda broke so is there any accessory to phen accessory ?

I'm currently at level 35.

Orlean's Gown. It's an armor, and it's faster than Phen, but well, it's more expensive. I think that's the only alternative I know though.

Bloody butterfly card works too if you're on a tight budget. Note that for Orlean's Gown you have to be a lvl 55+ trans character.

From your current level until you reach level 85, do the Overlook Water Dungeon quests. One of the end prize choices is a Phen Card. So you get to level, and you get a Phen Card too.

Then all you'll need is a Cat Hand Glove after that or a Clip to put the card on. :)

Woops, didn't realize it was only for VIP. It has been a while since I did the quests. :p_omg:

Get mini VIP.

2 reset stones = 3 days access to some vip services including overlook.

Unless you have a swordfish card, Saphien's Armor of Ocean or some other water reduction card/gear, I'd wait until I was transcendent to do Overlook. Waterball kind of hurts, especially on a mage with no Phen card.

Personally, I'd suggest that if you can't afford a Phen card, go hunt dead branches or Strawberries until you have a couple mil, buy a swordfish card, put that into some armor that you can afford, then go to Undersea Tunnel. The monsters there are the same thing except weaker with less HP and you can get a little practice in before heading to Overlook. If your able to make it to the 4th floor, just stay there and hunt the Phens... just stay away from the exits as they get pretty mobby in those locations. This would be a good time to practice vertical firewalls and such.

If your really lucky, you may get a phen card while there. Then you'd just need to do the Malangdo quests to get E-class coins and buy a Cathand Glove after that.

This.

...or you know, make a blacksmith, get greed, go to od2 greed all loots, make rough oris/elus into ori and elu, sell to buy shops, sell other loots to npc with OC, make an easy 2m per hour (at least), rinse/repeat until you have enough for phen(or orleans).

...that works too. Just remember to leave loot on the ground in OD2 so the homons can still mob the Zenorcs...

Make a friend or two and do overlook with them. You don't need swordfish et al to do overlook. Only 4th floor and up is particularly difficult.

if you have access to overlook you should also have a rental merc (obtained in eden) that you can use to tank/kill things with you. i managed to solo overlook on my FS priest just supporting the 90 fencer rental merc (i was tanking the mobs tho since wb will crush him).

if you're a caster class your int is normally high enough that the spells do very little damage in the first place (even wearing water armor, strouf thunderstorm/lightning bolt did virtually no damage to my high int chars, while they would take chunks out of my melee classes' hp).
