Does your special someone also play this game? Do you believe in finding real love from an online game?
P/s: I personally got married because why not, and weak baby chars are the norm.

I just got RO married for the second time (university made me a widow T.T) and we did it for a couple of reasons.
The first time I got RO married was my Wanderer to a GX, just because we always played together, so it was convenient to tele each other, and I had some great buffs for him, while he could kill mobs for me much more quickly than my Severe Rainstorm could (this was before dex boots and when I was geared terribly.) We helped each other get to the then max level.

- It's fun! We can give each other SP/HP and teleport each other.
- We're a Wanderer and a Maestro. Not only can we help each other with lots of personal quest stuff, but our guild too.
- We're gonna adopt a baby AB, so we'll be a nice little buff team.

A baby AB stopped by was showing us his moves last night in Glast Heim. Quite the little killer he was, lol.

I got married on RO to my girlfriend years ago. We've broken up long since then. The marriage was simply a fun thing to do since we were in a relationship IRL.
What I miss is having my baby perma Acolyte. Look at this cute thing:

I remember my ro wives ^.^ they were all special in their own way im still friends with em all too. Most of them quit ro tho, an di stay in touch with them and visit from time to time . For me Having a ro wife is equal to have a close best friend in long term. And to make the best of your ro experience. I remember when i got married in ro, I made a big spectacle in forums and had lots of people come. had it recorded GM's came and such i gave away equips and branches a fun festivity i say. ^.^

^ This.
RO relationships never work out (speaking from experience), so just marry yourself for buffs!

That feel when your post gets edited because it contains a swearword while a post that contains kitten gets left alone

It most certainly is not going to be left alone, don't worry.

Well, for me the one time I was married years ago, it was with a friend who I leveled with frequently, so it just made sense.
As other people said, some do it with friends for leveling convenience while others do it someone they're dating or married to in real life. Some marry a person they're dating in RO and the rest just marry an alt account for the skills.

A couple of my characters married a couple of my fiance's characters since they were pretty nicely matched characters. Another couple of my characters have married a couple of a friend's characters so we can adopted some of his characters as he wants to make a whole account of baby characters. It's mostly just a fun thing to do.

Not sure how I feel about this lol
My first iRO wife and I started out ... damn I dont even remember anymore because when we first met, I didnt know we would do a RL relationship. I need to go back to ask her again how we met.
When we realized she lives in the same city of my sister (not so far from my city). After weeks of spending times together, we felt some strong chemistry. Later we decided to try a long-distance relationship and then we married in game. We were not even best friends yet. We literally were "friends" for weeks. Everything was fine and perfect until we broke up 2+ years ago. I had to go back to my home country (in far Asia while she lived in North America) for a year to do the military thing.
Now we live close again and we are friends, taking it slowly but big chance we are gonna give us another try.
