I apologize if this topic has been created before.

 

This is primarily for Renewal server.

 

 

 

since soulinkers aren't really party-able  above 100 to 175, receiving their buffs in party share can't be done due to level cap.

 

also , soulinkers are genarelly not partied for their buffs.

most of the time people are using alt accounts.

 

 

What better way to make money , then to add self soul link scrolls?

you can link only your self.     

 

 

You can make these buffs unusable in woe and pvp maps if you  like..

 

I cant think of a better way for iro to make more money,  and still have a soul linker buff in your party.

 

I do miss walking fast while playing strings,  but a linker can not join your for high level ti due to their level cap.

and their buffs aren't vital to the party, like a healer class. 

 

 

 

please feel free to discuss teh pros and cons.  as you can see i'm bias and are only discussing the pros.

They're discussing lifting the leveling cap of soul linkers. That would negate the need of this. Also it would make soul linkers less desirable later on.

Soul linker are already less desirable now.

 

but  still, what would a linker do in a ti party?

 

run around and link every 5 min or so and just walk and stay alive? 

not everyone in the party needs a link.

and their current offensive skills aren't aoe.

their attacks are good, but not really a  melee class.  dps kinda slow.

 

 

They [warpportal] can make money now by introducing these scrolls. [ and make money!]

Soon social pressure from the elite players will ask... do you have linker scrolls? 

 

why not?   just pay for them only 100 kafra points for a box of 50.

 

or something like that.

I'd rather they didn't marginalise yet another class by turning all their supportive buffs into scrolls.

Better tank and puller than an SC with leap. Kahii and kaupe would be more effective support than the stuff other classes do.

there are better tanking class.

 

 

the class is already forgotton, when you can make alt account to self buff you and your allies.

 

i also agree that a class shouldnt be marginalized.

 

there's also a reason why it's called an expanded class vs regular.

As a hindight user, I'd like to see kaahi/link scrolls to use them in instances. Linker is slave class anyway

As much as I hate spending hours spaming slaving soul link to remove the death penalty from my SN ...

 

I'm still strongly against the idea of it being a scroll in the cashshop. For Soul Linkers it removes the

uniqueness of it and removes the class's gimmick trait skill.

 

Might even promote other expanded skills in the cashshop like 16 Nights.

Income Perspective: would more revenue be generated from Linker Scrolls or from players making slave accounts?  A linker that is high enough level to have the links you want could be made in a 2~3 hours with 1 bx3 and some swordman merc scroll (maybe even faster then that).  Meanwhile using links constantly in TI parties and such would provide higher revenue.

 

Player Perspective:  A current problem with linkers is that even if a player is willing to make their own linker, they can't use them for levels 100+ Turn In parties due to the linker not meeting level requirements. 

 

For those against this; there are bless, agi, aspersio, and assumption scrolls yet these do not keep priests from being party worthy, so if a 3rd class Linker comes into play their skills should be strong enough to make them worth playing. Though if a 3rd class linker never comes out, this keeps linker buffs within reach of parties: either way it still works.

I was thinking about that. Alot of those early priest skills aren't signature moves anymore, Merchants, Archer, Crusader, Super Novice

and Shadow Chaser all have some means of obtaining them, as well as few hats that grant those early skills. Learning basic 2nd skills kind of

seems reasonable enough. 

 

Fiddle and empowering inner souls at the moment is the class's defining ability and its purpose.

Though, i'm picturing when the cap is increased that they'll not get any new skills and still be called Soul Linker.

 

 I'd probly be for the idea if they added it AFTER Soul Linker got new abilities, so it could feel like their passing on their wisdom.

I like your insight.

 

The game already has class specific skill scrolls like, buff assump, asperio, and even class specific adrenaline rush and mystical amp.

 

could maximize money by providing linking scrolls , or if you want to be mean,... make class specific linker scrolls,

 

it make it 10-12 different linker scroll boxes....   

 

 

i would also think if soulinker did expand to 175,  pepole would just auto follow themselves.  Some people auto follow bard and dual 2 accounts in bio4 bounty turnin.

Revenue wise it might net them a little money, but once they expand the level limit above 100 I'd imagine sorcs would have to level their alt linkers if they really want to solo in order to get them into high level places. This would require the person to leech/level that account and potentially VIP/manual the alt linker which would bring in the most revenue IMO.

 

Player perspective wise making it even easier to solo on sorc in TI is probably not really necessary. At least they'd be forced to duo with a linker once the level cap was raised.

 

Assumptio used to be good, now it's really mediocre. Pre renewal I always had issues with Assumptio scrolls.

Aspersio is the only one that was unique and not sure why they needed those to exist at all.

Agi and bless are first class skills. There's a lot of first class skills available from cards and gears.

 

If anything there should be an equip that allows the use of all level 1 soul links or something, definitely not the rest of the soul linker class skills though. Soul linker is a completely viable class already for pvm and pvp/woe, they just need to raise the level cap to 175.
