Hi everyone,

 

The suggestion here is an idea I had to fix the zeny carrying limit we all struggle with as well as the trade limit at once.

 

The basic idea :

 

Create a npc system that you could pay zeny to in exchange for points that would be recorded either by character or by account (for example 100m = 1 point).

 

From then on you trade in one point for 100m zeny back from the npc, no physical item involved to dupe and the limit to carry on an account could be really high instead of having to make 50 accounts just to hold your fortune and losing track of zeny.

 

THEN to fix the trade limit problem, you could use that system to add a small window like the zeny part of a trade so that players could include points in trades. 

 

 

 

This idea solves the following :

 

~ GM time saved 

         - Less scammer tracking to do

         - No need for GM involvement for large trades

 

~ No more problems with zeny limit

 

~ Able to trade larger amounts, so less trust issues with expensive trades

iRO most likely can't implement that without kRO support, also there is already a banking system on kRO if I recall which the CMs have been requesting for about a year now i think.

Oh I don't think I've heard about the banking system in kRO, what's its limit?

 

 

Edit: OH Nvm it's limited to 2.1b per account, so it pretty much sucks and ends up being pretty much useless for this purpose. With how much zeny we have in the market, it'd only be a drop of water in the ocean.

The 2b thing is something that is and probably will plague RO, its a finite limit based upon the machine limit of an integer.  Honestly, zeny should from the start have been an account bound stat, not character bound.

Hence why I talked about a point system instead, being limited by zeny is more than just a curse. As it's been mentioned before, fear of dupes would prevent any item to hold zeny from being added, so we're either stuck with a terrible limit or we'll have to innovate. I'm pretty certain points would fix the whole thing.

My only fear of a system is errors and those who seek to figure out such error and exploit the system to create more dirty zeny.

There is always the possibility of rollbacks if a major exploit exploit is found. If you're gonna be afraid of such things, nothing will ever get done. The current system is horrible and should be changed.

Not saying it shouldn't be changed or your idea shouldn't be done just nothing is gained by making the current situation worse.  I'd also be concerned about all the current dirty zeny that is out there being filtered into this then taken back out almost like washing it clean.

Well it would basically only be adding kRO's banking system, but changing the zeny into points instead and the value of those points would be different so that more can be stored. The trade part would be nice, but without something like this, there is very little chance of this game ever getting a trade value/held value increase over 2.137b.

This has been suggested many times before, even once by myself.

 

I suggested that a secondary item based "Coin" system be implimented.. Each coin's face value is worth that much in Zeny at a vendor or a specific NPC.  (Which this idea was also suggested prior to me suggesting it.)

I played -snip- before and they have this system called money bag system.. its basically an item that cant be drop. 100m zeny bag, 500m zeny bag and 1b zeny bag.. can be trade, put on storage, inventory, but cant be drop. they have an NPC where you can exchange your zeny to money bag. pretty cool system. but I am sure yhis kind of idea has been suggested many times before.

The duping thing is why I requested it to be kind of like a secondary money system instead of an actual item.
