I'm making a GX and I have an Assassin Cross right now. Should I just use Daggers against Monsters but use Katar for Bosses? I'm confused what I should level up with my skills.

U use whatever u want, depending on your play style, i use katar only for killing mobs with rolling cutter, and 1vs1 i go for dual dagger since i made my build that way

As a GX, your main AoE will usually be Rolling Cutter, which requires you to use a katar. So that would be my recommendation.

 

Daggers, while it's good and versatile, are still a single target killing which is why they're more suitable for MVPs.

Unless you have tons of zeny, then they can autocast some nice AoEs.

When you go Katar, do you ever go for crits?

 

How do you handle MVP that Agi Up, Crit from Katars and equips or from stats? To kill the Agi Up Mvp effectively?

Yes, yes, and yes. Also, you can still use counter slash to level without katars -- but it requires you to facetank mobs, which is not a very good strategy. 

 

We gettin' lots of questions about GXs, I'm tempted to create a 'Johnny's first GX' guide with some basic info for people who aren't well geared and aren't looking at end game builds. I'm sure I'd have a lot of errors, but maybe it'll be useful? I'll mull it over while I drink myself into oblivion tonight.

are you talking about baphomet card on a dagger? dont know if its wotrh it for it reduces hit, only on a DDcrit build... or am i wrong?
