Premise: Certain high quality gears can be remodeled with new research into the catalysts found in the forbidden somatology laboratory.

 

Requirement: 10 will of warrior, 20 blood thirst

Chance of Failure: 30%

 

I'll start off the list with one I'd like to see and others can be proposed by different people, or I will add more. New items are "Soul-Infused" at the beginning of their name.

 

Soul-Infused Dance Shoes [1]

Remodeled shoes filled with a forgotten dancer's thirst for renewed life.

Type: Footgear

DEF: 15

Weight: 30

Required Level: 130

Class: Maestro or Wanderer

 

Increases max HP by 1% per refinement to the item.

If upgraded +8 or higher, Reduces delay after attack by 10%.

If equipped with a [Whip] or [Instrument] class weapon, reduces the SP cost of skills by 10%.

If refined +10 or higher, decreases SP cost further by 5% for each refine after +9.

 

Soul-Infused Rosevine [1]

A whip of alluring fragrance made of a magical rose stem. The soul of a passionate warrior resonates with the weapon.

ATK: 180

MATK: 180

Type: Whip

Weight: 100

Weapon Level: 4

Required Level: 130

Class: Wanderer

 

MATK +1% per refinement to the weapon.

If refined +8 or higher, decreases the SP cost of [Metallic Sound] by 60.

If refined +10 or higher, Decreases the cooldown on [Metallic Sound] by 2 seconds.

For every refinement beyond +6, your magic attacks bypass the magic defense of enemies by 5%.

 

Soul-Infused Catapult [2]

Every bolt loosed from this weapon carries the animosity of the last warrior felled by it.

ATK: 165

Type: Bow

Weight: 110

Weapon Level: 4

Required Level: 130

Class: Shadow Chaser

 

Increase damage with [Triangle Shot] by +5% per refine of the weapon.

If refined +9 or higher, decreases the SP cost of [Triangle Shot] by 20.

 

Soul-Infused Berserk [2]

A claw imbued with the essence of a fallen warrior's madness.

ATK: 170

Type: Knuckle

Weight: 50

Weapon Level: 4

Required Level: 130

Class: Sura

 

Reduces delay after attack by 1% per refine of the item.

If refined +7 or higher, increases the damage of [Raging Trifecta Blow] by 20% per upgrade of the weapon after +6.

If refined +7 or higher, When attacking, there is a high chance to cast [Zen].

 

Soul-Infused Kaiser Knuckle [1]

A claw blessed by Zephyrus, god of the west wind. A forgotten soul's warmth can still be felt within the metal.

ATK: 185

Type: Knuckle

Weight: 45

Weapon Level: 4

Required Level: 130

Class: Sura

 

Increases physical damage against [Undead] race targets by 5%.

Increases physical damage against [Undead] race targets by an additional 2% per refine of the weapon.

Increases physical damage against [Fire], [Earth], [Wind] and [Water] element targets by 10%.

If upgraded +10 or higher, Increases physical damage against [Fire], [Earth], [Wind] and [Water] element targets by an additional 10% per refine of the weapon after +9.

 

Soul-Infused Mystic Bow [3]

This small bow is filled with the regrets of a long-passed traveler.

ATK: 150

MATK: 120

Type: Bow

Weight: 170

Weapon Level: 3

Required Level: 130

Class: Ranger, Maestro, Wanderer

 

Ranged damage + 2% per refine of the weapon.

If upgraded +9 or higher, decreases the cost of [Severe Rainstorm] by 75.

 

Soul-Infused Scarletto Nail [1]

The burning passion of the dead fill this weapon.

ATK: 175

Type: One-Handed Sword

Weight: 4

Weapon Level: 3

Required Level: 130

Class: Novice, Swordsman, Merchant, Thief.

 

Inflicts [Curse] on the target while physically attacking.

Increases chance of [Curse] according to refine.

If upgraded +8 or higher, reduces delay after attack by 10%.

If upgraded +10 or higher, increases the damage against [earth] and [undead] element enemies by 10% for each refine after +9.

 

Soul-Infused Aztoe Nail [1]

The cold ire of the dead fill this weapon.

ATK: 175

Type: One-Handed Sword

Weight: 4

Weapon Level: 3

Required Level: 130

Class: Novice, Swordsman, Merchant, Thief.

 

Inflicts [Frozen] on the target while physically attacking.

Increases chance of [Frozen] according to refine.

If upgraded +8 or higher, reduces delay after attack by 10%.

If upgraded +10 or higher, increases the damage against [water] and [undead] element enemies by 10% for each refine after +9.

Except for the size mod on knuckles

 

Where is soul infused Big Cross Bow?

 

I skipped over items that are already useful, be them alchemy glove, mental stick, or big cross bow.

yeah those are good choices too. The improved tights weren't very improved.

eh, i just noticed that all gears should be from biolabs. impr tights and linen gloves dropped by zakudam and beho master. if it must be from biolabs, then my proposal should be just regular tights dropped by cecil, and maybe combo with combat knife.

It doesn't need to be from biolabs ^^ just gear -- dropped by low chance by hard enemies-- that are pretty much worthless--- you'd like to see improved.

 

It just bugged me bio4 monsters and MVPs dropped worthless items like dance shoes, when there is nothing to do with that quantity of items since their effects are sooooooooooo far below the usefulness of other 3rd job gear like temporal boots and variants[1]

 

There are so many dance shoes that they probably get sold to NPC. That's why I wanted to introduce the 30% fail rate. But even then that's probably not enough. Perhaps also needing +7~9 refines for the effects? I think I'll add those in.
