What do you think? I think that this will help the GMs find and ban a lot of bots and their IPs when they are proven to be bots (cughting them when boting). The bots really harms the community and the game experience, and everybody should be able to do something to help solving this problem IN GAME, because it would be the most effective way to go against this.

Would you agree with it? (if not, you are boting huehuehue)

Thanks for your time and sorry for my bad english :)

too easily abusable.  I can definitely see people reporting one another for a variety of reasons, up to and including for troll purposes.

I don't mean to insta-ban somebody through this system, but through this GMs could have a database of the possible bots and also from which IP they are connecting and if many bots are logging from the same IP it would be easy to know that one specific person is boting from his PC. I don't know if it's the better solution, but there are A LOT of bots and I don't see this situation changing without any action from the game developers.

Also the report could be attached with a message to avoid be spammed (captchas would work great, but I don't know if it could be implemented ingame)

It wouldn't get insta bans. I'm waiting on them to update their Ticket System to another software or newer version of the current one. Can't really do the right click thing unless kRO adds it to the client and creates a packet for it and has a means of handling it at the server which isn't needed because the ticket system is 3rd Party and has its own Web API. So the best it can be is a desktop quicker version of making a new ticket on the website.

I'm not saying it'll instaban people.  it's just going to waste more time because it's so easy to go and rightclick report someone if you feel like it.  This will cause a lot more work for the GMs to sift through due to the ease with which you can perform this action.

someone competing with you on an mvp?  report them as a bot.

someone camping out in your favorite spot in OD2?  report them as a bot.  or BB them.  whatever floats your boat.

see someone vending overpriced items in town?  report them as a bot.

feeling crummy today for some reason? report everyone you see as a bot.

also, how would you catch the insta-teleing bots?

if anything, make it so that you can ticket within the game.  you must provide more information than just rightclicking and selecting an option though.

You would be required to enter information regardless, if you're gonna take the time to report someone in game, I'm making sure you're providing the person who is investigating it with information.

Of course, I'm not meaning something like:

*Right click* *Report* *Ban*

My idea is more like:

*Right click* *Report* *Explain the reasons because you think it is a bot* *GM take a look in the player's activity* *Ban if he thinks it is a bot*

It could be easily verified in my opinion and, if people abuses of this system there could be any type of penalty (like the way you report people inLeague of Legends, if you know how it works).

It's just a suggestion, but well, something have to be done... there are OBVIOUS bots farming in a lot of maps and nobody cares about it. It gives tons of lag, inflates the prices of the market and make the game more difficult for new people here.

It's my last message today because the forum just allow me to do 3 post per day :(

The right click function would again require kRO intervention and doubtful they'd wanna invest the time into that. Easier to pop up a dialog from a key combo with some fields and you fill them in and some could be pre populated based on your location, etc.

gold farming causes inflation but botting items actually drives the cost of those items down.

Trust me its on the tip of my brain, but luckily the ticket system is built for that sort of thing and also it has authentication, its not a feeble as RO.

I guess that would be the benefit of a robust 3rd party ticket system.
