The 45° sprite is right from the left side, but not from the right side.
They would simply have to edit in the mirrored left side for the right side 45° sprite.

he said "bronze" only because of its color. the bugs only drop regular free "shadow gear" set (all 6 of them) thats it. there's nothing new.

It is not an actual item, you can get the shadow gear after you made the bapho hat. 

 

Just talk to quen after you make it and it turns your daily reward into a random unfrozen shadow piece.
