i tried it and it work perfectly.
I have a super monster computer and i still use the program to make the game crash less. The bug problem of the game is the memories cleaning. when you change zone the game is suppose to clean all the useless memories that he store and erase it to make a clean star after each zone . but the game it self doesn't do it well and cause a overload of memory. and when the game cant take it any more if crash. (''memory leak'')
this program block the game from using to much memory from your PC that all.
