so I decided to make a guide for ML grinding spots, the video lasts 2 hours and 18 minutes, which is roughly 16.5 GB .
and when i'm trying to upload it to youtube, this is what i get..

guideuploadr2.jpg

 3790 minutes please . @_@
so i'm supposed to wait for 2-3days for it to be uploaded?

can someone suggest on how do i get it online? well, other than chopping it to pieces, i don't have the right materials to edit a video atm.

as for crop or compress, suggest a good compressor?

btw, the video is in .avi format

well, if this guide fails to get uploaded, RIP my efforts  :p_sad:

Try converting the video into another format. That might cut the size of the video significantly.

Theres plenty for free converters.

I'm pretty sure there are some easy to use free video editing software in the internet, I just can't remember any name at this moment @.@

Idk if you had read this guide: http://forums.warppo...reen-recording/

but I found it very helpful when I needed to record stuff (mostly for bugs, but it can be done for tutorials as well).

I would have made it a series of several videos though, like "Grinding Spot ML 1-7" and record Condors (and Scorpions / Golems for those who'd like to solo grind when a party isn't available), then "Grinding Spot ML 7-11" and do Muka (and Sapphire Wolves), etc.

That way it'd have been easier to upload, and to watch a specific one depending on the watcher's level.

Despite that, I applaud your effort and will gladly help you if you had to redo them  :wah:

I still think you might be able to find a split software though.

thanks for concern guys.. I tried to convert it to other video format, didn't reduce the file size significantly.

if you guys are wondering how come the size became 16 GB, well the resolution of the video is 1080p haha XD

as for the recorder i used, i'm using a registered version of Bandicam ^O^

I guess i'll try to re-do the guide, i have done it solo, maybe i'll wait for my friend to help me out when he comes ON ..

thanks for the offer tho, caterpillar ..  :p_smile:

Maybe chop it up into separate sections,

I was about to say this too.

It's a easier to upload smaller files, and it would be a lot easier to navigate according to the character's level if they were chopped up. And besides, you can just put them in a playlist "RO2 ML Grinding spots" or something. >.<

Anyway, good luck!

Great work ShinShan.  :no1:

Try to get some video converter for it, MP4 format preferable for Youtube.

And how is your internet speed, both download and upload?  :p_smile:

yah, i thought of that too but i didn't expect it to reach 16GB so i went to the idea of making 1 video..
and now, im remaking it with the help of a few friends.. ^O^

and it's actually a good thing that it didn't upload, i think i messed that guide up.. coz it was my first time :shy:

And how is your internet speed, both download and upload?  :p_smile:

thanks planet-kun, as of my internet connection speed, you can compare it to the development of this game.. peace yow!  :p_laugh:

What file format is it and how long is the video? What's your upload speed as well ? I've uploaded 1 hour long WOE videos and that takes typically 7-8 hours with 1mb upload speed.

Use OBS and stream it VIA twich. But honestly screenshots is guide is better since u just stay in certain area's with in the desert. The only area i would see a vid working is mukas since the party has to go around in a circle. But if u wanna do this then go for it and have fun with it   :p_smile:

Typically youtube has an easier time with uploading using this format:  https://support.goog.../answer/1722171

Also to check your upload: http://www.speedtest.net/

What program are you using to make edits and render the video?

also, maybe you like Hi-res but 720 resolution work well, specially for people whose internet is bad and that include your audience, personally I like to use MKV format since is light and can hold really hi-def (and 3D rendering for some of my projects) but also my internet is 100mb up and down so...

Some tips, "let's play" video not only last around 10-20 minutes because of the length, but also because is not a DVD where you can jump as easily and see the part. also some players their internet is really bad and something like a two hour video unless is a movie they will watch illegally in youtube is just a waste of time (Some can last almost an hour to see the first minutes of a long youtube video).

If you decide to use your own music, try to use something that won't get videos banned on X country. Since you never know who is going to watch your video (I never expected to have audience from Africa on one of my videos and in another USA is banned from watching the video lol)

Personally I hope to see the videos mainly for mukas, since not many know how to max the exp gain on that map.

Good luck :)

Edit: Wops forgot to say, Editing is good to avoid the famous desynchronizing sound-image, also lag can have funny effects on raw videos.

thank you guys for your suggestions, as i have considered your concerns, we re-made the guide, and made a video for each grinding spots..
and it also converted the videos from .avi to .mp4 with codek h.264 and ended up with significant smaller file size.

i haven't tried the windows live move maker yet, 'coz i don't have it installed in my PC, but i will try it.

as of now, im trying to upload the Condor grind video, and here is the uploading progress..

 ro2cndrgde.jpg

and yes, my internet connection speed is not worth mentioning.. im poor you know >.>

erm.. i didn't input any song nor other audio in the videos, in fact, the only edit i did was to convert them.
as of the resolution, i am playing at 1920x1080 resolution, and have the recorder at full screen.

the main reason is that, i didn't use mic, i used chat to instruct and explain what was happening in the video.

(please don't make me use mic, i.. i'm shy..)

also i have read some forums on how to make the upload, record, and convert easier with smaller file size, they highly suggested to lower the resolution of the game, and the recorder,
which will affect the size of the chat, and might ended up unreadable; which will kill our efforts again.

well, if this remake is bound to fail again, i might resort to that lower reso, but as much as possible, i'm trying to avoid that.

but that thing you said about the viewers having slow connection, then yes, i might..

You can always set the game to a lower resolution as well, and see if the recorder allows you to record only an area of the screen (I know the ones i use allow this, but i've never used yours), this way the chat will still be visible, while still helping with the size of the video.
