also, maybe you like Hi-res but 720 resolution work well, specially for people whose internet is bad and that include your audience, personally I like to use MKV format since is light and can hold really hi-def (and 3D rendering for some of my projects) but also my internet is 100mb up and down so...
Some tips, "let's play" video not only last around 10-20 minutes because of the length, but also because is not a DVD where you can jump as easily and see the part. also some players their internet is really bad and something like a two hour video unless is a movie they will watch illegally in youtube is just a waste of time (Some can last almost an hour to see the first minutes of a long youtube video).
If you decide to use your own music, try to use something that won't get videos banned on X country. Since you never know who is going to watch your video (I never expected to have audience from Africa on one of my videos and in another USA is banned from watching the video lol)
Personally I hope to see the videos mainly for mukas, since not many know how to max the exp gain on that map.
Good luck
Edit: Wops forgot to say, Editing is good to avoid the famous desynchronizing sound-image, also lag can have funny effects on raw videos.
erm.. i didn't input any song nor other audio in the videos, in fact, the only edit i did was to convert them.
as of the resolution, i am playing at 1920x1080 resolution, and have the recorder at full screen.
the main reason is that, i didn't use mic, i used chat to instruct and explain what was happening in the video.
(please don't make me use mic, i.. i'm shy..)
also i have read some forums on how to make the upload, record, and convert easier with smaller file size, they highly suggested to lower the resolution of the game, and the recorder,
which will affect the size of the chat, and might ended up unreadable; which will kill our efforts again.
well, if this remake is bound to fail again, i might resort to that lower reso, but as much as possible, i'm trying to avoid that.
but that thing you said about the viewers having slow connection, then yes, i might..
