Yes, the new solution is still risky to say the least. 12x 5% CLS attack runes are still too much. And on contrast to Colo gear, you can  have 5-star lvl-85 gear parts now that will offer you a much better honing! Just look at the two 3.89% // 3.58% hones or the 2700 PATK+3,22% PvP honing given in the screenshots. Now tell me that 4 lines of such a honing combined with 60% CLS power won't make things even worse.

 
For good sake order, PLEASE don't make this happen. 5% CLS Attack rune per Purple hole x 2 per equipment = 60% CLS Power is tooooooooooooooooo much
 
I suggest, lock the CLS Attack rune on weapons and CLS Defense rune on Armors.

im not too afraid of PVP att 

it wouldnt matter much with my main SM 

my match up would still be the same

still 1 shot by sin/monk 

 

what im worried about is warrio/knight with Stacks of PVP def

Eh, how about a war/knight with 60% CLS Atk? I don't want to compute how much damage a shield boomerang can create with that atk. LOL

my unbuffed SM even with refined set gets 1-shot by a Bash 

why would they even need the CLS att XD 

1-shot bash a BM maybe 

 

if Att is mostly used by people then Warrior would die much quicker

ClS att vs Def Warrior = similar to current situation where warrior/knight is consider top tier

CLS def vs CLS Def warrior = Warrior have the advantage 

CLS att VS CLS att warrior = other class that cant kill warriors quickly now got higher chance

It depends on player's preference. Additional 60% will likely kill me by a single boomerang, and prolly with GC from Knight, or with a swing of Brandish Storm from Warrior.

A squishy little soulmaker you are. :wink: But you're right. If you already get one-shotted, additional damage doesn't make a difference at all. You could wear 30% CLS defense runes... but you might end the same way, if the other side wears 60% offensive runes instead. So RenatoKolokoy's idea would help your SM.

 

And you also miss the fact that gear can be swapped in the middle of a fight.

 

So if the runes stay this way, I'll make two sets: One with max. damage reduction to protect myself against invisible sins or to use it in combination with other damage reduction skills to become invincible and another one with full PvP attack power. As soon as my opponent is stunned, or whenever I want to use Battle Leap // Shield Boomerang or similar stuff, I switch it within a second.

 

But that option wouldn't exist, if CLS runes are limited to certain gear parts.

 

So IMO, it's a reasonable request, but it's still surely arguable whether it's 'the best' way or whether we shouldn't just exclude CLS runes at all. And we can discuss what else can be done to give your SM a better chance.

oh i have no issue with what renato's suggested

just that in my opinion PVP def would have pose to be more problematic than pvp att

Actually that's 36% because CLS DefenCe will be nerfed to 3%. :P Also won't CLS will use the same rune hole as greenseed? If that's the case a greenseed armor would be stronger than a CLS rune.

purp for CLS

 

the value was probably adjusted so that a full Def would cancel Full Att effect

assuming that PVP def take effect to Total incoming damage after adding pvp att

They nerfed it to 3% per CLS Def rune so it will be total of 36% if you'll going in full def
