I don't play Sorcerer, but maybe it's because they're(dagger) easier/cheaper to get? With enchant and stuffs.

Probably RWC dagger. Its a pretty good MATK weapon if you don't own a good +10 or better spell-enchanted TSoD and skull cap combo.

actually i don't have sorc yet, but i'm currently leveling my mage now. i can't decide if i'll go warlock or sorcerer, my main purpose is ET.

Anything stemming from a "mage" needs magic attack power, not physical attack power.

i see, thank you
i just got confused because i thought using dagger used to focus at PATK.

Int (stat) is much more important for sorcerers because int is a direct multiplier for sorcerer skills, i believe its total int x 3 or something like that in the damage calcs. Matk is additive for sorcs.

I would imagine if you're doing dex/int based cast reductions it would work out OK, but correct me if I am wrong, not sure how much dex a sorc can stack. Maybe with 2xBris it is better?

not quite sure i understand the question, and thanks haven... but i only know about Caster sorcs. To me Spell fist is meh... I want to do damage to everything, not one thing at a time. also its from trial and error and lots of theory crafting. I still don't think i have much info on the new level increase (been trying to level 2 sorcs... i can't read chinese so the calc i have i can't use... and the 3 stat points left over is killing me)
I have a funsie 120 dex build for dex gh shoes Spell5/RM that i love to play, but hate the damage (unless the RM procs) cause i have 103 base int. I have a 120 int sorc that i love cause it hits like a tank ( i love big damage numbers) but its reliant on wind summon.
If you get enough spell enchants on things, (rwcs, FAW, TSOD,) and it gets you 100~ variable reduction, you can drop the dex to 1 and still pew pew well. People make the arguement that every 5 dex = 1 matk, which is nice, but it would take 15 dex for 1 point of int equivalent of
i only recommend stat based instantcast (expensive to upkeep) for woe builds because you'd be better off being able to gear yourself for damage reduction than spell reduction.
For ET, if thats all you're doing, you might want to look into a 120 dex-er at 175. but not for leveling between 100-140 (the 120 dex pre-req for the shoes will either leave you with no vit low int, or low int low vit. gonna need vit to be stun immune, cause thats pretty important (for soloing at least) so your damage gimps out, or have damage, but get stunned all day.
Unless you ahve orc heros, then by all means, 1 vit/120dex it up.
