Hi everyone,

 

the first question being: my sinx have 51 critical, as far as I know katar double the critical rate, so I am wondering why sometimes I still get non-critical hit.

second question: let say when I enchanted poison, and poisoned a monster when attacking. Will the lost hp due to poison reduce the amount of exp I received upon killing?

you have 102 critical with katar, assuming the monster has 0 luck,   the target's luck lowers your critical rate as well. so a high luck target will make your crit go down noticeably.

OK, thanks for reply.

I did not know target's luk affects cri rate too.

Im leveling with Alarm, but I did not notice exp reduce. I think maybe it's because Alarm's vit is quite high...?

the poison hp drop on monsters is really small, so it may be barely noticeable, not to mention its slow to actually take down the HP, so chances are the alarm dies before anything happens.

 

the burning effect of biochemists is another story though, that one does steal exp.

Every 5 points of LUK provide:

Flee+1.

Critical Hit Shield +1%.

 

Example :monster Angeling has 200luk = 40 Crit Shield O.o

RK Dragon breath also can cause burning. :(

You mean burning effect reduce exp receive, right? Then they should be same. What do you mean by another story then?

are you playing renewal or classic? in renewal crit hitting is basically torture for your class as many high tier jobs have a good amount of luk invested. you will most probably get misses hitting RK as well coz vit reduces crit damage as well

I'm referring to Renewal, and not only pvm, but also WOE TE, which I believe most players wouldn't have invested much into luk.

I'm not bothering with hitting a RK because I'm not planning on playing a GX though.  :p_laugh:
