Hi,

let's say like this:

Do we have maintenances regularly? Yes, every week.

Do we have events frequently? Yes, we have.

Do we have bug fixes? Sadly not for the time being.

Do we have content updates? Unfortunately not at the moment.

Will this server close? No. WarpPortal has no plans to close this server anytime soon or in the near future.

This depends on the fact if a development team needs to be involved or not.

If you're pessimistic, "answer A".

If you're optimistic, "answer B".

But that only depends on what you call "waiting really really [...]".

It seems likely that the times of developer action are past for good, but I'm going to keep hoping and keep pushing the issues even if it should end up making a VModPopcorn-shaped indentation in the wall.  :p_smile:

I wish I would know more... At the time being it's unclear what will happen. But I can ensure you, the server will continue running as it is for now.

If I get any new informations, I'll be the first who lets you know...

I take answer B.

Dragon Saga was recently removed from Gravity KR's list of developed and/or published titles as part of a downsizing plan they're enacting. Doesn't look like they'll be picking it up again, as they're not even announcing it to their shareholders.

The reason why Dragon Saga has been removed from Gravity Korea's website is that it isn't published in Korea by Gravity Games Korea anymore. That's all.

I know it's your "job" to keep people happy and optimistic, god knows why since you're new to these forums comparative to the rest of us and you're not even getting paid, but you're seriously wearing blinders when it comes to the possibility of dev intervention with this game.

Do you not read their stock reports or press releases? I want DS to pick up as well but honestly... Gravity give no -_-s, and haven't done for quite some time now. If you pick apart their employment numbers and listed subsidiaries carefully you'll find that, unless Dragonica dev work is a solo operation now, the team for it no longer exists.

I take answer B too.

but, like  AlmrOfAtlas i dont think they will do any thing for us any more.

If the game get a update GOOD for us but i think it's over.

So much Bug they can fix but they dont right now. so much stuff to do. even the private server got less bug then the only one official left standing.

i'm still hoping but if nothing happen i will only say i knew it that all  :p_swt:

Or you know they share devs between games.

To make things clearer, here an up-to-date statement from the responsibles:

Gravity US is in the process of taking over development of Dragon Saga from Gravity Games Korea.

Even though it may take a little time, WarpPortal hasn't given up on Dragon Saga yet.

That would be lovely ! Now the only thing we'd need would be to understand how the hell they can have coded everything so poorly there is memory leaking from every hole...

Having memory leaks can be one of the most complicated things to find and to solve if you have some - and if you neglect to search and find them early.

It's not sure that these memory leaks occur always in the same situation which makes finding them - for example with an application verifier - very hard. Also Dragon Saga uses external libraries like PhysX (which is altered from the original) and it's based on the Gamebryo Engine for the graphical rendering. Also these external libraries can have problems or not. Investigating this would be a longsome process and it seems this has never been made by the development teams. I also don't think they ever had enough time to test this out. I also assume that they had changing development teams and too many cooks spoil the broth.

This is no apology for the dev team in Korea, it's just to let you know that the problem can be manifold and it's not easy to solve.

It has already started, but it takes some time... That is what the text wants to tell you :)

And even after the legal obstacles are out of the way, it's still the matter of gathering knowledge about the game's inner workings and building up in-house competence to make improvements.

I'm very excited about this. Thanks, Popcorn, for posting it and please announce when there are more news and it's time to post user wish lists for what needs to be done.  :p_idea:

So, at this point I think GravityUS is developing more MMOs than Gravityhq. We now developed Rose, Requiem, and now apparently DS. Now Gravityhq only develops RO1&2 along with a couple smart phone games.
