So...today that I went to do the Chocolate Strawberry class, another player had her Cacao Drink class bugged...

 

But as I was shopping for Cacao I found this:

 

 

So it seems the drinks can be made...but what is it that bugs them?!

 

I agree with Franchu that it's gotta be the Cacao Beans...currently we can get them by 3 ways: Serious Lee, Jeeha Lee in Payon and through Cacao Refining.

My sister and I figured out the quest bug, possibly (with RO it's hard to tell without more people confirming).

I completed the Fierce Cacao 99 lesson by having Cacao on my character (she had 20) and I then gave those Cacao to my sister and she was able to complete the Chocolate Drink lesson.

 

Please someone else try to complete those lessons with Cacao in their inventory to confirm that this fixes the bugged quest. Thanks!

I bought the Cacao Beans from Serious Lee on this alt, the one I completed above I had made the beans in Prontera.

As someone who isn't the least bit interested in debugging a quest that shouldn't have been bugged from the outset, I guess it will be prudent of me to simply forget that these quests even exist until after next week's maintenance. (ノ゜Д゜)ノ ⌒┻━┻

Anyway. The Reward can be confirmed as one of the Merchants near Arles Orleans was selling the Valentine Headgear (the HP one at least)

 

 

EDIT: Confirmed, you need to have at least one Cacao (normal one, like the one Yoyo drops) in your inventory so Arles Orleans recognizes your other ingredients.

I did the Story of the Lonely People quest 5 times to see if having 15 each of those would work for Schweddy's quest and it didn't. I think the player that is selling this years Valentine's headgear used items from last year. Specifically, the Chocolate Tart and Chocolate Strawberry requirements (since the gift basket doesn't provide those) because players sold those last year, according to Ragial.

I'll be finishing the lessons on Monday or Tuesday depending on if you can't get the February Sweets reward until another 24 hour period has gone by.

how is it possible to make multiple named hand-made chocolate? isn't that we can only attend each class once? i saw people selling multiple of them..

I think after completing the classes, you get a recipe for what class you've completed.

 

For example, if you've completed the fierce cacao class, it gives you a recipe.

Story of the Lonely People (Still gives the item reward)

 
1) Talk to Chocolat Montblanc and choose 'conversation', the 4th option. Ignore the Engrish and choose the 2nd option when available. You will be told to talk to several people.

• Lennon the Idle Warrior in Prontera 68, 332)
• Penn the Stranger in Payon 265, 160
• Ken the great Wizard in Geffen 85, 198
• Young Rich Richard in Lighthalzen 80, 145

 

Emphasis bold, the coordinates given for Ken the Great Wizard are off by 10 cells (the given coordinates lead to a blocked cell that makes /navi refuse them).

 

The correct coordinates are 95, 198.

Franchu, just one more thing. There's another event NPC in Payon called Jeeha Lee near the tent in the middle of the market place. He sells Cacao, I think 10 for 1000z. I think it's very cost effective to grind the Cacao into the Cocoa beans (1 cacao may yied from 3 to 7 Cocoa), though it requires a lot of clicking.

 

But is somewhat better than hunting Yoyo's (and feeling guilty about their baby-like cries. QQ Forgive me Yoyos! Or buying Cacao from vendors, which will surely become overpriced after this info is more known)

TRIVIA: Talk to Jeeha Lee and complain about the items being to expensive...that guy's scary! (This doesn't affect the quest, is just a little tidbit)

i made the items with the february sweet cookbook and it worked, i didnt get to choose the hat though, just got that one. It also gives +7 to all stats till april 15
