whenever i see a player with a god item or mvp card i feel poor.
it almost gives the illusion that average player owns atleast 1-3 god items or mvp cards.
and rich players have limitless funds.
right now im a 166 RK and im trying to save up for a Tao Gunka card.
this RK is my only character that can somewhat do ET.
i do ET once a week on this character and can only make it up to FL59 doppelganger kills me too quick.
so far on my ET runs i never found anything good.
occasionally i do go hunt sound amps but i dont find them everyday so i dont think i have the patience to farm 20bil worth of those.
whenever i go hunt low level mobs i equip hbp and spare card for greed and blank card drops but that doesnt really earn me much either.
so how do i turn a budget of 1.4bil to the current market price of a Tao.
and how long does it usually take to earn 20+ bil from a low budget.
my current gears are

+9 maestro vanargand
fatasm sunglasses
glorious suit
quad kingbird mace
quad malicious gauche
+9 superior temp dex
+9 immune FAW ea enchant
2x 250sp Urs seals
and some random racial shields.
+9 immune HBP
spare card

so what are some good and quick ways to make zeny and get my hands on a tao?

Make more classes, farm instances, learn to invest and work with money, farm things that gives a chance of a very big reward (MVP cards), join guilds or make friends to share / get access to high end items.

 

I would not suggest getting a Tao as your first big thing either, get a GTB instead.

While it's entirely possible to farm 20 billion zeny to buy a Tao, that's generally not how people go about getting high end gears. You get something of high value, let's use GTB as an example, then trade it for what you want, or sell it to buy what you want. There are several ways to go about getting a GTB in the first place.

You can kill it in ET, you can spam bloody branches , or you can camp it's natural spawn. If this is too hard for you, farming zeny running instances, MvPing, hunting gear/cards from regular monsters will help you gain zeny over time. If you want a short cut, there is always Kafra Shop.

I had to wheel and deal a series of trades to land my Tao. You kinda have to have some hustler's spirit in you, some market saavy, and a smooth tongue to get what you want in a timely fashion.

Don't listen to KRO, whatever happens there has a 2 year delay for us. Haven't heard about GTB being removed though, is it the monster or the card or the effects or all three? Share a link please

it was discussed several times here already that GTB will no longer drop its card in the future.

Has it actually been suggested that iRO is going to do that?

 

I would expect that to be done on servers that have flushed themselves down the cash-shop toilet by putting GTB's in the kafra shop or boxes. I think some of the asian RO's have that kind of madness. 

 

Or, do you mean making it so the one in Endless Tower doesn't drop the card? (which should have been done when ET was implemented)
