So I understand that Bayeri is pretty useless, but if I really want to make one, what's the best starting homunculus to make it the least useless? And if I do that, in what instances will it actually be useful? I mainly do PvM. Thanks!

I have a bay on one of my gens, and.... man... it's just crap. Especially compared to Sera and Dieter, which are just so useful, and make the genetic owning them significantly stronger. I have found no way to level it effectively outside of OD2 even at >125, and it provides no useful function in any context I can determine. I really was hoping it would be better than this, but... it's just awful, and sera is just so good.
