And I think the fin helm gives 1 HP per base level.  Useless.  SP gives more damage then than HP.

Yes, the 1 dex+vit are nice on the BDM [1]

 

BFG only good for the +2 mdef

 

I wonder though, would Adv. Fin helm be better if you were geared up with Tao+Turkey+Firelock? Or does incubus still win?

rough calculation = incubus.

 

1092HP (i calculated this with +20 turkey which is D=) vs 150 SP

304 vs 518 DB damage. (175 RK no ranged%)

To add to KudanSeishirou's comment:

In terms of impact on damage of DB, the equivalent ratio for HP:SP is 12.5:1. That is, an increase of 25 current HP is equal to an increase of 2 max SP. You'd need an increase of 1,875 current HP to get the same amount of damage as an increase of 150 max SP.

Nothing is really going to beat incubus for damage. Youd need 1500 hp to match that ~130 sp (its 150 minus 3 int). Fin helm and everything else isn't going to give you 1500 hp or anywhere near it.

A aa bdm[1] is about +800 HP, +10 sp, when you consider the +1 int/vit. That's less than an incubus fin helm, but dat double regen is hawt.

I looked into that a while back. The level-based bonus is pathetically small and keeps the AFH from competing.

I tested this exact setup, on a 175/60 RK

 

Incubus Sunnies did about 800 more dmg than the AFH

Blue Acidus sunnies did about 400 more dmg than the AFH

These are rough estimates.

 

With the AFH, you get 1 HP for every base level. at 175, I was getting 475 extra HP without any gear. With +12 Turkey and Firelock DEX boots, I was getting an extra 577 HP.

 

SP plays a bigger factor in DB dmg.

superior better damagewise. castwise HE makes you instant cast when proc.

 

And I would recommend Bryn, it's better than Tao now.

bryn just give more consistent damage since the SP damage based on max SP not current.

What is the chance to active the hawkeye function? Which is it worth?

around 5% i think. but it drains 400SP each second,(for 5seconds).

Superior ended up the best out of all the boots I tested. The difference was about 1.5 - 2k more dmg.

I tested the boots with my stringer.

Hawk Eye didn't seem to make a difference for me.

It felt like I could spam more DB's in strings with Speed of Light instead of Hawk Eye.

Either way, it's annoying when they proc because of the SP drain. I still preferred the Superior boots.

For those who don't know this already and like to solo here's a little tip
+6 Temp Dex Boots EA4 + Muscle Fool. Vends on ragial for around 99. Helps a lot while mobbing since it seems to proc a lot .. Therefore you end up spending less on supplies. Should be better than the firelock once bapho takes his costume back .. Lol.. Damage is not as much as the firelock. But there is no drawback for DB on the MF proc. since atk and matk don't factor in DB damage calculations, I've been using this boot in my setup to solo mid ti for the past few weeks
