Hey guys, trying to download the game from the website, but it gets halfway then "a download error" pops up, which makes other errors pop up. Anyway to fix this?
Also, how is the server? I've played way back in 2011 when it was really nice and kind of populated. Played for about a year, stopped, and came back on and off. And I'm guessing the US servers are the only ones still online? I was wondering how populated it is now, I played 6 months ago in here but it was really dead even though many people said "the community is growing really well" but I feel like many of you guys are sugar coating it. I loved this game as it was one of my first online games I started playing when I was in 8th grade. I would remember atleast 15-20 people waiting to be partnered with 3 other people for dungeons. Chat was also never dead and PVP was the best part of it all. I think PVP was the main attraction for me, the highest I've ever reached is lvl52 Ninja, and around that time I believe we were considered OP along with Paladins/Knights.
Anyways, regardless of your guys answer, I would still like to play this game one more time, but don't sugar coat your answer. If I was to start over right now, with a Lvl1 Mage.
How easy would it be to partner with somebody?
How does population in each section increase? (Section as in would I see more people when it gets to the lvl40 zone - I know its usually like this, back when I played heavily, there was a huge increase in people when you see turn lvl40 and gain access to more spots)
Lastly, I don't wanna seem like im just one of those "is it good enough to come back yet" people, I just really wanna know whats up with this game as it was one of my favorites. Thanks!
A few facts:
- Server population highly depends on your time logging in to the server
(the whole EU daytimes and Sea afternoon/evening times are quite filled - the USA timezone is much emptier) - I'm talking about the people actually doing stuffs, not the ones standing afk in POW.
- This server was the north American server. But it became the last official DragonSaga server that is still open and so made it to the status of an "international DS server".
- Yes the population of players is still growing that is true. Compared 6 month ago to now - a lot of new players joined and are joining every day. But compared to the time when you firstly started it still is under that level. Yes, we surely can still use some more players to play this game.
-PVP became less "important". Or better many pvp players are on a hiatus - waiting for more PVP players to come back and join in again. There are still people doing PVP, but those are most ones that ask for partners for example in the trade chat.
Most played PVP these days is Guild PVP (Empo) and the battlesquare (for the PVP way level 60 JC sign of heroes). The other kinds are mostly just played for fun and not frequently visited,
- It is still true that the population in higher levels is better. But the population on the lower levels did increase a bit, but yes still isn't the one of the higher levels. People level fast and so they switch from channel 1 to channel 2 in not that much time.
Popcorn stated in a topic somewhere else that at time being Gravity US is in the process of taking over the development of DragonSaga from Gravity Korea - so at time being nobody knows what the future will bring. But at least there is some hope now.
