Greetings everybody,

i'm just another player returning to a game i deeply enjoy. I've been passively floating around the Forums, for quite some time looking for as much hope as possible. Turns out according to one of the VMods lurking around here, that Gravity is Again going to take over Development, or is in the process of doing all the legal stuff in order to acquire the game from Gravity HQ (KR). This is almost the only hope i have for the game to continue, though in my Opinion i don't see a story any further than defeating Elga. So there isn't much to develop really in my opinion, in terms of the Story and gear Cap as well.

Personally i'm very happy to see, such a large amount of people just hanging onto this one last server, i've been playing it and leaving several times a year, and coming back to see the only change was Galaxia which isn't all that fun IMO. With the money pot-holes and bugs camping around, the incomplete skill tree's for the 4th jobs and many market issues (wow these prices).

If Gravity US is Successful in acquiring DS's Development, the first priority would almost instantly be a new expansion with Major bug fixes, Skill overhauls, Additional Character's for the Dracokin (excuse my failure to spell them). A COMPLETE CHANGE to the levelling from 40 onwards. Seriously i personally hate F7 i find it, unusual to be playing a mini-game in order to level in the main game. The exp difference in dungeons is appalling. None the less i still do my Hero quests and F7 runs, just to live through like everybody else. Though there needs to be a major focus on the game's progression and leveling from 40 onwards, as i feel it was just a "screw it, put something random" sort of job in my eyes.

Certain skills need to be "returned" or changed back, Final Decision knocking down just needs to change. The shared cool down for SpearJab and Cross Cut, doesn't really make sense and a few others.

Welp lets just cross our fingers and HOPE. . .

Hello and welcome back to our DS community!

Just to introduce myself a bit:

I'm not just a VMod lurking around here in the DS sections of the forums, but I am the VMod who cares about DS. Even though I am a general VMod for all forums, everyone of our VMods has his/her own game that the one is dedicated to. And DS is my dedication.  :p_smile:

At the moment I do all the needed community stuff which is possible. I do forward things (suggestions, bugs, requests etc.) to the producer and I'm able to discuss things with him.

As for your post: There are many things that I totally agree with, but please keep in mind that developing complete new content will take a while, also when the process of the development take over is done (what also needs some time). So it seems we will have to stay patient for a while anyway.

Especially the skill nerfs you talked about have been mentioned many times before and already have been forwarded to the producer, so I hope this can be one of the first things to be changed along with major bug fixes (for example the Hades bug in Galaxia).

Hope dies last!

However, enjoy the game and I hope we see in-game sometime.

-Popcorn  :p_smile:

Where is Aramis?

I would like to answer you this question, but I can't. I not even know Aramis or ever spoke to Aramis in the whole time I'm here now.

If you mean Nolanvoid (who seems to be known as Aramis ingame), it seems he's no longer active since his forum account is inactive.

And the last post of this guy was in 2012.

Ah that's great to here, and yes the taking over of developing will take a while, and waiting shall be a good time.

Do the events that you take over, are they still prominent or do they have to be fowarded as well?

and may i ask what is the Ninja community like right now, in terms of people who are ninja's.

What events are you talking about?

It seems Ninjas and Invokers are the most played classes on here.

In game events? They aren't being shown on the DragonSaga Offical website, there hasn't been an update on it since 2013 from what i saw.

The Dragon Saga Official Website is outdated and the Facebook page is sadly not constantly updated. Due to all the things going on in the background the staff is very busy. Unfortunately I'm not able to update these pages myself, so you will get the most up-to-date infos here on the forums.

We have many small in-game events almost every week on here. More problematic are the big events with special event maps at the moment.

The events we have the most nowadays are:

  • Collect items to exchange for other items
  • Login Events (you get item(s) for just being logged in)
  • Enchant Success Rate Items
  • World drop events (monsters drop Weapon Enchantment Dust for example)
  • almost every weekend an EXP event from Friday to Sunday
  • IM sale events (sale prices or special items only in the IM for a limited time)
  • regularly rotation of the items in the Mixboard/Bigwheel
  • small DS related forum events (like the Crazy DS Trivia we had last)

The big events hopefully can find their way back in after all this taking over stuff is done and the developers are getting familiar with the game.

Oh that is amazing i'm so glad to here, such amazing things are going around in the background. This is a great start for the game and i hope in the end, everyone's efforts will keep this game going strong. Thank you for the info

  • Enchant Success Rate Items

Oh, I just saw I made a typo, this surely should have meant:

  • Enchant Success Rate Events

The events are not running all at the same time. At the moment there is no enchant event running.

This are only examples of type of events we are able to host at the time being.

Sorry if I did confuse you.

The event is always announced in the current server maintenance topic, which you can find pinned in this forum.

We have our server maintenance every week on Wednesday, so we have a new server maintenance topic every week :)

Enchanting until +7 does not break, if the enchanting is not successful after +4 the item just falls back to +0. Means you have to enchant fresh from the start again, but it doesn't break. The enchantment tries to +7 will cost a lot of gold and weapon/armor dust due to the many failures you are going to encounter.

Many prefer using insurance scrolls after enchantments +6, because the costs for those failures are very high, much higher as by using insurance scrolls already even though they are not really needed at this point.

Starting to enchant an item to +8 and above will need an insurance scroll, because otherwise the item breaks if enchanting is unsuccessful.   :p_smile:

AH that's great to hear, because i remember having the biggest tension and fear of the item break right after +4 so i just gave up on enchanting in general, never really got to cap either.
