NOTE: This is my first tutorial regarding anything whatsoever about iRO. Also, it's been almost a year since I came up with it, so I apologize if there's any misleading info or lack of content. Yet, I hope it turns out to be useful to you. Thank you kindly for taking your time reading it. May God’s benison be with you and those who are aspiring to be guardians of peace and justice.
STATS:
NOTES: These are just recommendations; you can make a build based on your gameplay style.
SP is really an issue for RGs, since we need to spread out the stats points into 4-6 stats, not remaining enough to make a good pool of MSP in order to cast our expensive skills. Most RGs I’m acquainted with carry with them a fair amount of SP potions, which sucks, because you have to keep a space in your inventory for SP potions when you could have more gears or weapons instead.
ATK: 90-100 (Good output damage and weight limit for equips; You will carry several items so take it);
AGI: 60-100 (It’s crucial for Vanishing Point’s atk speed, you will also be immune to sleep and bleeding);
VIT: 90-100 (Immunity to various status ailments and a good MHP pool for mobbing);
INT: 1-40 (It’s ideal to have an average MSP pool for casting skills);
DEX: 100-120 (Cast and HIT; RGs must have an excellent HIT rate in order to fight High Flee mobs. Using equips to enhance it is advisable);
LUK: 1-40 (Gives you more resistance to status ailments, boost your HIT and Flee rate, ATK and many other sub-stats).
KEY ITEMS:
NOTES: I will solely be giving detailed equipment info regarding this build, nothing less. Anything that increases your output damage and reduces received damage is recommended (Elemental Spears, Racial / Elemental Cards, etc) is at your own will.
GEARS:
- +9 Vanargand Helm [1] (I preferably compound cards that grant immunity to status ailments i.e.: Marduk Card);
- +9 Nidhoggur’s Shadow Garb [1] (1% chance of gaining 1% of the damage inflicted to an enemy/enemies as SP. It also increase your MSP. The best decision is to go for cards that decrease received damage: Baby Orc, Raydric, Noxious…);
- Pet: Incubus Pet - +5% MSP, also adds 2% chance of gaining a percentage of the damage inflicted to an enemy/enemies as SP.
NOTES: This is a three-way resource of maintaining your MSP at max while being able to spam Overbrand. No need for SP potions.
The “+9 Vanargand Helm [1]” is your main resource for HP and SP restoration. It’s amazingly interesting how Overbrand works well with this Helm, since it is able to hit a good deal of mobs multiple times, plus the skill delay for reuse is not an issue ( OB will push the mobs away from the caster ). The “+9 Nidhoggur’s Shadow Garb [1]” boosts your MSP. Making it reliable at all times.
Cursed Hand is an awesome and versatile accessory for RGs. It gives you +10 HIT and increases your HP recovery rate. It is an formidable substitute for a RWC Ring.
WEAPONS:
NOTES: Your main weapons will be less focused on damage output. However, over upgraded ones are a good choice in order to balance it. Your focus here is to implement a resource of HP without requiring Pots whatsoever to restore your health. Therefore, Hunter Fly Cards will be your lifetime friends. They will trigger their function fighting against huge mobs, in this case, the more the merrier.
- Hunter Fly Card - Adds a 3% chance to restore 15% of the damage dealt as HP to the user with each physical attack.

+10/11/12 Pike [4] – Pike is an excellent choice. The four slots will guarantee your chances of gaining HP per damage dealt (Making it indestructible with a Golem Card is optional, but also recommended when fighting mobs with a certain risk of having your weapon broken, it’s crucial to have at least two Ancient Mummy Cards compounded to the weapon due to its +20 HIT boost), and don’t forget to carry Elemental Converters;
+9 Gungnir [2] - Gungnir is the most reliable tool for High Flee mobs. Its +30 HIT is the best friend for a RG aiming at a slippery target. Also, the two slots are perfect to fit in two Hunter Fly Cards, which is also ideal (no less than 2 HFC, otherwise using only one will be a waste). The only drawback is its element (Wind type), as you might have probably experienced it. Neutral property ones are far better for an all-around damage against elemental mobs (Ghost types are an exception of course). That’s why I advise you to carry Elemental Converters, 15-20 of each will be enough for your daily errands. Finally, it is enchantable ( yay \o/ ). Whether enchanting or purchasing it, you must aim for a +10 HIT combined (whether Fighting Spirit 5/6/7 or Sharp 5). You can reach +41 HIT rate. No mob will be able to escape from your steady aim.

KEY SKILLS:
1st CLASS: BASH LVL 10; ENDURE LVL 10;
2nd CLASS: SPEAR QUICKEN LVL 2-10, Spear Quicken will considerably boost the first hit of the Overbrand skill;
3rd CLASS: OVERBRAND LVL 5; SHIELD SPELL LVL 1; PRESTIGE LVL 5; VANGUARD FORCE LVL 5, VANISHING POINT LVL 7-10, PINPOINT ATTACK LVL 2-3.
NOTES: These skills are the ones I use. I rarely use any other than these while mobbing or going solo in TI maps or hunting MvPs.
In sum, you won’t need any kind of pots to keep your health and sp up while spamming Overbrand. You will be able to solo in many places. The only real issue is to master Overbrand. You are on your own this case. I have been stuck to places, while trying to cast Overbrand, and I couldn’t cast it, I ended up dying while being motionless. Mobs that can push you back and/or can’t be pushed back will turn out to be your worst enemies. You better stay alert for this matter, if you miss one single atk of your skill, you will be eaiting grass by the roots.
